hello out there in big dog land! i have a beautiful red boy that we rescued two years ago. at first glance he looks like a giant [read: 115 pound] golden retriever. but his gait, face, ears, and temperament [totally chill, not into retrieving, only swimming] are starting to make me think there's some pyr in him. also, he has white on the bottom of his paws.

him as a puppy. at three months he weighed about 35 pounds:

Well.......... ..just by looking at him yeah, he looks like a typical golden retriever.

Its possible he's just really big for his size.  Not all goldens enjoy retrieving and they can have patches of white on their chests and/or feet.  I do know one rather large golden that comes into work that has to be around 100 lbs, if not more.

He is a very handsome boy.  :-*

He looks like a Golden retriever to me! :) He is just big for his breed and there is nothing wrong with that. :) He is one beautiful boy.  :-* My friend had a Golden retriever that weighed 105 pounds so its not uncommon.

Ohhhhh, he's beautiful!!  I'm the proud mom of a 88-93# female Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix.  She's not overweight at all, she's just always been a big strong girl.  She's actually the same height as Sammy, our male Pyr.  :)  It always amazes me how much smaller most of the Goldens are that I see at dog shows.  ;)  I've seen a wide variety of sizes within the one breed.  You're boy is gorgeous.  Welcome!!
