I was just thinking about a few of the things that I love most about having a big dog, and I thought it would be fun to hear what everybody else thinks too. :D
So one thing that I love about having a Big Paw in my life is that I don't have to bend down to pet Naja. When she is sitting, her head is at the perfect height for me to scratch behind her ears while I'm standing.
So what are some of the silly things that you love about owning a big dog? :D

What I love most about Tucker is....just how genuinely happy he is to see me when I come home from work.
No matter how bad a day I've had, it just perks me right up to come through the door and hear his thundering footsteps tumble down the stairs, see his smiling face as he races towards me, tail a waggin'!
I also love how impressed everyone is by him when we are out walking. Its fun to show him off.

1: How much faster they pick up potty training.
2: The feeling of security they bring
3: How much calmer they can tend to be.

The fact that not matter how big they get they still think they are tiny and want to sit on your lap and be held like a little dog. :P

Not sure yet, will have my first BP the 20th, but hearing what you all have to say makes me even more excited!

I second the bond with other Big Paw People.
The big slobbery kisses.
The lower energy level of most Big Paws.
The fact that it's VERY difficult for my dogs to hide from me when they're being naughty!

That I can rest a hand on their backs when we go for walks.
And the way that men don't go anywhere near me once they see the monsters next to me.

I love that everyone else sees how big he is, and I see how sensitive he is.

That from a distance people think I'm walking a bear :) Watching her squirm under the cupboard with her big bottom sticking out. Her big wet hugs immediately after taking a drink and deliberately trying to soak up as much water on her face as possible. And watching her sleep with all 4 paws up in the air!

I love all the things that's mentioned here, but I especially love having a big dog in bed ;D
That's my favorite part too.

I always said I wanted a dog big enough for a real bear hug. :) Mayhem likes to snuggle in the bed in the AM, too. Such a nice way to start the day!

Bryce is the biggest love bug i love the way he looks at me with his big warm brow eyes. I love the big patch of drool he leaves on my sleeve
He protects me even from my friends! He loves the ride to school to see all of his friends. I love to snuggle him in bed and when he presses on me so i can't get up.I love it when the cat and him are curled up on the bed and he looks at me like hey how did that cat get there? I love to see him gallop around that 190lb all dog and when people pull up and ask me if they can take his picture! That's my Bryce

She is such a love bug and loves to cuddle with me. She makes me laugh everyday even on days I don't feel like laughing. She lets me fuss over her. Now that both my boys are grown and gone she is the perfect child!! ;D

Wow, where do I start???
I love when ridiculous, prissy women scoop up their little dogs and/or children when they see Sierra.
I like that strangers think twice about approaching me.
I like when she insists on laying on top of me when we watch tv and I can barely breathe.
I like having to turn the tv up louder because of her snoring.
I love how she outweighs Cody by 90 lbs and can almost fit his entire body into her mouth, yet she is so gentle with him and tolerates anything he does to her.
I love when people always see me buying giant breed items and can't resist asking what type of monster I have. Yup, that's my girl!
I'm going to stop there. I could go on forever!

I love that when I wrap my arms around their necks and bury my face in all of that glorious white, soft, fluffy fur the entire world seems to disappear and I feel only pure joy.
And as therapy dogs, they can provide this comfort for countless sick kids and their families at the hospital.

hmm how about the fact that one big WET kiss can slime your whole face... hahaha.
I especially love how my big guy follows me everywhere.. and when he follows me in the bathroom he backs out...cause he thinks he too big to turn around.. you almost expect a beep like a dump truck. BEEP BEEP BEEP

I love to see the size difference when she's got her big butt up in the air trying to play with Moo or other tiny pawed dogs! ;D
Or when it's snowing out, and she's outside you can barely see her until she smiles at you! :-* :-* :-*

I love that when Bear sleeps in my bed she pushes right up against me, she loves to give hugs (put her paw on me when laying on her side) and puts her paws on my shoulders to lick my face when I get home :)....basically all her amazing love!

I love that I ALWAYS feel safe with Chance around. He is very good about letting me know when people I can't see/hear are around..and love that Cooper has already picked up on that protective trait and wants to let me know when people are at the door.
I love that when I'm on the bed Chances head rests on the mattress so I can pet him.
Mostly I love how sensitive Chance is - he knows when I'm sad or mad and when I cry he practically sits on me and licks away the tears till I stop.
I love that Cooper HAS to sit on or up against me or he isn't happy. (That will be interesting when he isn't a 20lb puppy and he is 150+ :) )
