LMAO, my friends down a few blocks from my house, calls me, screaming and crying she needs my help.
A few weeks ago she bought a female English Mastiff from a lady that our vet recommended. The family is moving and couldnt take her with.
Sela is a beautiful girl, but has some aggression issues with other dogs.
She doesnt like either of my dogs but has befriended her neighbors 3 female min schnauzers, go figure!
So I jump in the van and haul tail to her house thinking the worst and I get there and in the backyard is Sela hooked up to the neighborhood scamp, a smallish terrier mix!!!
Apparently, Sela started a heat and Kelly didnt realize it and this little vagabond climbed her fence and helped himself.
Everytime Sela tried to stand or walk the other pup would scream, that is how she found out he was there.
Im like what do you want me to do? She says, undo them!!
Yeah, cause I have that kind of power! I couldnt help but laugh at her like a loon.
She was planning on having her fixed and actually has an appt in 2 weeks.
She doesnt want the litter and doesnt want them to end up in a bad place.
She feels awful and I wasnt a great friend because all I could picture was a wire-haired huge mongrel and I would laugh.
She is calling our vet tomorrow to find out what, if anything can be done.
Poor Sela thought she had done something wrong and hid under the table the whole time I was there.
I feel so bad for the poor girl. When I left she was getting a scrub-down from her neurotic momma!
What an end to my day!

OK, I called Kelly to see what the vet said and she said she was confused but he said to wait and see if she "took" and once a pG is confirmed, he would do a spay but if it didnt then he would wait until the heat is over then do a spay.
Does that make any sense? She is waiting for her hubs to get home and call them to make sure she understood correctly.
Im as confused as she is.

I think what the vet meant was to wait to see if Sela is indeed preggo. If she is, then he will abort it, and do a spay right away, if not, he's gonna wait till she's no longer in heat to spay her.

Will scrubbing her down make her magically not pregnant? :) Maybe chase away the little dog sperm?
