PupDaddy asked in an earlier thread - where is the love? Well, today seems to have been a yucky day for a lot of folks - we have had a thread (now removed) that was upsetting and stressful for some people, a lot of us are still feeling very depressed re: the aftermath of Katrina, etc., and I think we all could use some cheering up.
So, I am handing out some love in the form of a "mental care package". It goes out to PupDaddy and anyone and everyone else who could use a lift. Feel free to add anything you want to it. ;D
I will start by putting in a copy of one of my fave books ever - "Carter Beats the Devil" - so that you can sit down and get lost in another world whenever you need to escape this one for a few minutes.
I also throw in the full collection of CDs by Ozomatli, so that you can shut the blinds, turn up the music and dance out whatever is troubling you.
Definitely some chocolate, whatever your favorite kind is...
Definitely some adult beverages, whatever your favorite kind is...
Some good hot soup to warm you up inside.
A good well-broken in pair of cowboy boots - nothing will ever feel better on your feet and at least ONE part of you will feel good.
Some bottled puppy breath, to be inhaled for theraputic purposes.
A long hot bath, even for the guys.
A ride in a convertible on a beautiful day, with your favorite song on the radio.
A pair of jeans that look AND feel good, even on your fattest fat day.
A hug, a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to b***h into.

On another good note- this morning Bear & Cody officially had their first therapy dog training session with Pndlake aka Peggy. It went really well and we are so excited!

Ok, the picture below is not about love, but it's funny. Deuce's picture just didn't "Pop". So I sharpened the focus, added color in the background, and "fixed" one other little problem with the original! ;D

Good idea Marsi! I'm not totally in the loop on the deleted thread. I saw part of it, but apparently not the nastiness it got into. So, other things to add to the mental care package:
1.) A comfy chair that you can take outside and enjoy your favorite scenery, whether it be the beach or the mountains, with your big paw right beside you.
2.) A plate of home-cooked food that brings you back to simplier times.
3.) A star to wish on every night.

That couch picture was taken last year. I had been sick and was just chillin' on the couch. Tenchi & Kida were snuggled with me, but then I got up to get some soup. I came back in and they were all taking advantage of my nice warm spot! lol Miss Superpsycho Zeo was there too(behind Gyrl), but she jumped off as soon as she saw the camera. No keeping her still for very long. :p

Rocky, thanks for the compliments on the pictures. I just love taking photos and I take a lot of them as I try to find inspiration for my next painting. I am generally a creative person, a graphic designer by trade (self taught) and an artist. I could draw and paint as long as I can remember.
