My heart breaks every time I see pictures like these.  Did you see the cover of the People special doulbe issue from Sept 19?  Looks like the guy is carrying a Pyr.  What brings a bit of hope is reading about the efforts of Noah's wish, the Humane Society, ASPCA, & Heifer International on their email reports.

AWW. That is so sad. I cant even imaging how awfull it must be. The puppys look so lost and sad. It really breaks my heart.

Yes, it is really sad. You just keep reminding us.... this is only the beginning. There will still be many issues to resolve. The finding the owners, when the owners will be able to take them (many may be in shelters are need to live in apartments for 2 or more years), and those who never claim the animals. How long is enough? How long do you make them available for adoption? Can long term foster care be arranged and if so is this fair to the animal and care taker since bonds will develop? Lots of future issues... hope everyone is ready to take one of these pets in, many generous families will be needed.
