We are pleased to announce that Iza whelped 7 males and 1 female last night!!!  These are some of the largest and most active pups I've ever encountered.  They're all over the place.  One actually managed to get on top of Iza today and out of the box!  Yikes!!!  Iza of course is thrilled and is a very good mother.  Her dam, Gambol, is even more thrilled and has taken on the role of "backup butt cleaner".  Especially interesting is the fact that we had one pup born without a tail.  See "Bob" at www.esmondrott .com/s_litter.htm  This is a first for us and, although we'll place him as a pet, it will be very interesting to see how he matures. Â
The reason for the 'boys boys boys' is that the Yngo/Goldi repeat (www.esmondrott .com/r_litter.htm) gave us five surviving boys as well, totaling 12 out of 13 males between the two litters. Â Thankfully, and by the grace of God, all the boys have prospective homes lined up (we hope to keep the lone girl :-). Â But it's going to be VERY busy around here during the next two months trying to harness all of that testosterone!
Thanks for letting me share. Â Do keep checking the website to watch the puppies grow! Â For now, here's a photo...

Congrats! ;D

God they are cute! you docked their tails recently I see. :) They look like little bear cubs at this age. Man...I remember the days of little Lady and little Grace. Legs no longer than my index finger and heads like boulders on their shoulders. I miss that.
Sounds like you have a little of Grace's. She's been non stop since she popped out too.
-
Have fun with all those little boys! Good heavens!! And that is really neat about little Bob! I have never heard of that! He's lucky 'cause now he doesn't have to get his docked like the other ones! ("Whew!" he says!)
;D
