trying to figure out an averave neck size, like around the collar of a dane... not goign to tell you why. ;) HELP!

Grey has a skinny neck he is 19 but still growing so Ill say around 20-28??? Hopefully some one with a full grown dane can give oyu a better answer LOL

Merlin wears an 18" rolled leather collar, and is mid-range on the holes. (One behind the buckle and two in front) But he is about average for a dane, not nearly as big as Sanity or Tenchi, for example.

I don't know exactly how thick Nee's neck is. I DO know that this summer, when he had outgrown his baby collars, I put his 21" slip on him all the time (I'm a horrible mommy I know). On August 17th, his first birthday I got him a rolled leather collar, the biggest one they had, I didn't look at the size. But we couldn't put it on right away because the slip wouldn't fit over his fat head, so we had to cut it off. He's outside right now, when he comes in I'll measure him.
Where do you measure? Behind the skull? Or right over the chest?

OK he's 19" behind the ears. 23" at the base of the neck.
