Are the advertisements around the message boards based on what is posted and does everyone see the same ads?

There is a thread called Ugh.....anal sacs

Can someone click on that thread, go to the first page of posts, scroll to the bottom and check out the ad on the bottom right hand side.     
That HAS to be a result of the subject of this thread (even if slightly off base) doesn't it?

When I look at that topic it is at the bottom of the 1st page.... on the right.
