Just wondering if anyone has a favorite great dane book they've read? The ones I have read have all been pretty basic as to health, temperament, colors, etc. I'm looking for something that maybe gets into training methods, crating, etc.
If anyone has a favorite they'd be willing to recommend I'd appreciate it greatly!
Thanks,
Cara ;D

Hi! Recently the man of my house posted a similar topic on BPO and some folks recommended some great books. Here is a link to that thread.

We bought the one called Great Dane:Model of Nobility and I have been reading it here and there. :)
Good luck!

Thank you for the thread!
I have had Great Dane: Model of Nobility on order from Amazon, it's on backorder now, I'm looking forward to reading it!

A great fiction book is "The Guardian" by Nicholas Sparks. Here's a link to a reading list made by Dane owners.

Amazing Gracie by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff. Of course I could be a bit biased since its about a deaf dane. ;)

I just read "Amazing Gracie" too... I loved it!! My husband says it's his turn to get the dog of his dreams and he wants a Great Dane. We are now looking into breeders and doing our homework. I've also been checking out rescues in our area, but no luck. I found a beautiful male on another rescue, but they only adopt out to a certain area...oh well. I'm sure he'll get his GD someday!
