The other day I posted a question about doggy nosebleeds because Boo (the other dog in my life) was having major nosebleed issues. Well, they took him to the vetschool teaching hospital and had to admit him because it was so bad. They ran a ton of tests and found out he had some kind of fungus eroding his nasal cavity. During treatment last night he developed pneumonia from the anesteshia and some how got esophagus damage from the medicine or something. Things don't look good :( I am afraid he will probably be at the bridge soon :'(
I am so very sad right now. He is like a second fur-baby to me :'(

Oh I am SO sorry for Boo, you and the rest of your family. I didn't read the original post because there was nothing I could add :-[
How old is Boo - maybe he is strong enough to fight off all these problems
I will be praying for Boo and the rest of your family, again I am so sorry you and your pal have to go thru this!

Boo is 5 years old. Right now they don't know what caused the fungus - at first they couldn't figure out anything at all (it took the $3K in testing just to come to the fungus conclusion).
I am not giving up hope now but I am very very scared and very very sad :'(

I'm so sorry for you and Boo and Zoey. One thing I've learned though is to never count them out till the fat lady has sung, they have ways of surprising you.

Poor Boo - I have my fingers crossed that he'll pull through. I have a whole family of doggie nieces and nephews that I love like my own, so I know how upset you must be.

I just got the best news! Dan's parents went to visit boo at the hospital and between seeing them and everyones positive thoughts, he seems to have made a miraculous recovery! He is still not in the clear with the fungus (it takes two weeks of treatment to see if he responds to the medicine), but he has made a huge turn around and they might even get to bring him home tommorow! Yay :)

That is so awesome! What a wild, wierd thing to happen that almost killed him! Will definitely keep up the prayers that he keeps improving and can come home soon! Yeeeehaw!!

BooBoo came home today! YAY! He is still not perfectly in the clear but he is doing good :)
