I am the person dying for a Saint Bernard puppy but have allergies. I am intrigued by the Giant Schnauzer idea, but cannot find too much info. Help please?

this may be a dumb question, be do giant schnauzers have to be groomed? also, are they as big (or nearly as big) as Saint Bernards? Thanks.

no joke. I want a St Bernard, but have major allergies, I found out that there is a  Saint Bernard/poodle breed
