I didn't post right away cause my first reaction was to say that I probably would have jumped the neighbor.  I thought I would think about it a little but I've come to the conclusion that I really would have kicked the snot out of the neighbor.  I'm having issues with one of my neighbors right now...but it's her dog not mine that's causing the problem.  And she doesn't care if the dog dies or what happens to him.  (he's killing my livestock) So I'm going after her instead.  The dog can't help being a dog and I don't think he needs to die because his owner is a complete moron.

i think violence is never the answer, but the sentiments expressed here do back up my assertion that it is the dog owners responsibility in every circumstance to keep their pets in their own yards and under control.

it is a simple fact and if followed, there would be much less tension between neighbors, and everyone would get along better.

i live in a small, rural neighborhood that has at least 10 dogs in it, and the majority of these dog owners couldn't give a flip what their dog is doing to bother the neighbors.

actually, i wasn't being mean at all, just stating the obvious - keep your pet out of other's yard and there won't be a problem.

and i was also against any sort of violence against the animal.

but, sure, let the thread die.

uh, it isn't confusing whatsoever. if the dog hadn't been in her yard, it wouldn't have been kicked. kicking the dog was unnecessary, and i personally would never harm any animal, but the fact remains that the dog was on someone else's property.

dog owners are the responsible parties when their pet goes onto someone else's property.

pets should be kept on their owners property or in areas deemed specifically for pet use.

it is really very simple.

keep your dog on your own property and be respectful of your neighbors rights.

the lady shouldn't have kicked the dog.
the dog shouldn't have been on her property.

Believe me, there is a special place in h*ll for this woman...I mean would you kick this dog?

i wouldn't kick an animal for any reason, but i understand the frustration the neighbor feels with having their space violated; and much like cigarette smokers, dog owners have this amazing ability to not realize they are infringing on the rights of others when they allow their dogs to run free.

keep your pets out of your neighbor's yard and there won't be a problem.

while you're at it, make them quit barking. too.
