Big Paws Only Dog Forums

Can anyone tell more more about this breeds personality.  My husband is dead set on getting one but I have read they can be very territorial and wary of strangers.  I grew up with a dog like that, and while he LOVED our family, having visitors was always a little anxious.  Please tell me honestly what to expect from the breed.  We want to get a dog that is the perfect fit for our family...Thank s!!
