How 'bout a Saint?

Seems to fit what your looking for (and you would eventually get used to the drool  !)

I picked a Saint for most of those reasons - good with kids being a priority.  I do agree that a dog must be trained to be gentle with children but, I also believe most are certainly not naturally aggressive in any way.
And, he's a huge snuggle bug!!

I'm owned by Teddy our now 13 wk Saint, 2 cats, 4 horses, 2 skinkids, and a Hubby!  I'd have a Zoo if he'd let me!

What a good feeling to know that, if needed, he can be a guard dog.

It was just on Monday that I was frustrated completely with the little stinker......b ut today......he's just the perfect puppy!

I just love my wittle doggie!!  Its one of those happy feelings you just want to share!!  LOL! He's really wormed his way into my heart - I get that little tingly feeling with Teddy as I do when I look at my skin kids.  Its crazy!!! (but a good crazy! )

(I'm sure I'll be frustrated again before I know it - but for now, I'm just going to enjoy!!)

I know I wouldn't be comfortable with him around my children but I can argue both sides too. 

Babies can be frustrating but they don't hold a candle to the frustration a 3 yr old can cause!  Thats no excuse. I would never be able to trust him.

That said, I'm a completely different person now at 33 than I was a 21 - its like it was a lifetime ago.  I doubt he is the same person he was back then. 

Tough call but I think NDN has some great advice.

We had a taste of spring here too but its snowing again today - blech!

Oh, he tells me when he wants to go outside - he sits at the door and whines.  He KNOWS what thats all about - you whine at the door and somebody takes you out - yup - he's got us trained!

At lunchtime I take him for a walk so he gets to potty on someone else's lawn  .  I believe he thinks he should go for a walk everytime he wants to potty now - he's already used up all the good spots on our lawn .

I think I may bring his crate upstairs and begin crate training.  (Hubby doens't think it will work) but I'm sure ready to try it!  NO play time until Teddy is on empty!!
