Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: What's your guilty pleasure?
« on: October 23, 2005, 07:03:57 am »
My guilty pleasures are expensive cuban cigars, gambling online, and Patron Tequila. If all I had to do all day was smoke stogies, drink and gamble I would be in heaven. Too bad we are in the real world.......

Ang,

I used to work in banking and by the time most of the houses that are in foreclosure make it to a site they are already sold. I know here in CA there is no such thing as a foreclosure because most houses are appreciating fast so people are selling them and walking away at a break even or with some money in their pockets before they get foreclosed upon. My advice to you is do some creative financing just to get into a home(any home that will have appreciation even if you are not too fond of it) and then when your two year capital gains tax goes away sell it and make some money that you can put down on a house that you really want. Good luck

Old English Mastiff Pictures / Re: Food for Mastiff puppy

We feed our OEM Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy food and we do not give her any supplements. Our vet wants us to keep her on the light side. She is currently four months old and around 53lbs. We do not free feed her she is on a schedule of food 3-4 cups of food 3 times per day.  Keeping them light until they are around 2 years old is beneficial in the long run to their joints, and your wallet. I would post a recent pic but all of my files are larger than 400k

I live in San Diego and I paid $3.07 today. It was really fun. We need to do what the governer in Hawaii did and put a cap on the gas prices. Do you think this would work?

Food Discussion & Information / Re: Dog doors....
« on: August 30, 2005, 07:00:50 pm »
I am thinking about installing commercial sliding glass doors that open on movement. This seems like the only thing that may work for my beast. Anyone think this is a good idea?

Food Discussion & Information / Re: Elevated dog feeder

Petsmart. Ours holds two bowls and you can store all of the food in the bin underneath. This feature is good so the dog can not knock over the food and water dishes. It was only $50 or so.

That is a good idea I think I will contact the breeder regarding her growth. Our vet says that she is still on the small side though it doesn't look like it to me. But what do I know?

We feed her Eukanuba Large breed puppy food 3 times a day and 3 cups per serving. She also eats a greenie every other day.

Old English Mastiff Discussions / Is my Mastiff Growing Abnormally fast?
« on: August 21, 2005, 10:04:48 pm »
My three month old Mastiff Zoe weighs in at 48lbs. Is this abnormally fast? or is it because she likes to eat rocks in her spare time? We try not to let her eat rocks but sometimes it is impossible. So back to my question is this too fast for a Mastiff to be 48lbs at 3 months?

Meet & Greet BPOers / Re: SAN DIEGO,CA wanna meet for a puppy play date?
« on: August 09, 2005, 06:07:08 pm »
I'm in Granite Hills area. Zoe needs a playmate but she does not have all of her shots yet, but when she does we would be happy too. Has your dog been to any puppy training yet?
