Nola is completely honored to be included with such gorgeous group of dogs.  He's a little embarassed that I put such a silly picture of him and has actually agreed to do a photo shoot soon.

A very, very Happy Birthday wish being sent to Cowboy!

Sounds like your girl is going through her teen rebellion.  Crating her is the best thing especially since she is chewing on electric cords.  Have you thought about getting a dog walker during the day?  Even 1/2 hour of play time might exhaust her and keep her from being destructive.

Nola's going to be a Liger (you know, Napoleon Dynamite's favorite animal, 1/2 lion, 1/2 tiger).  He is going to have a lion mane and we are going to spray paint (with non-toxic colored hairspray) tiger stripes on him.  I am still trying to find a really cool lion costume to destroy just for the mane.  Shh, don't tell anyone else. We want him to be special.

You may want to contact FORM and see if they can pick her up.

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Re: Nola's getting the big snip today

WoooHoooo! The beast is recovering nicely. I just talked with the vet and he said Nola is doing great so he will come home tonight.

Also, we had his hips xrayed. The vet says they are not as tight as he would like but no osteoarthritis that he can see. The only thing we need to do is keep him on his dosage of gluc/chond.

I am doing the happy dance!

If the beast is hungry tonight, he's getting steak!

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Re: Bad Breath while teething??
« on: September 29, 2006, 07:49:09 am »
Nola's breath was foul when he was teething.  We gave him frozen carrots and frozen teethers/washclothes when he was going through that stage.  The frozen stuff seemed to help him get rid of those baby teeth.  If you use frozen carrots, be prepared for lots of carrot schrapnel.

You are such a softy!  Well done on the rescue.  Might I suggest that you make your husband's favorite dish tonight or just pretend like the new guy has been there forever and that your husband has lost his mind.

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Nola's getting the big snip today
« on: September 29, 2006, 04:10:51 am »
I dropped Nola at the vet's on the way to the office today for his neuter.  Poor guy.  He didn't want to go to the "back room" of the vet's office at all.  We had to coax him down the hallway with treats. My little baby is going to have a rough weekend.  Maybe I'll get some fun pictures of him with an e-collar :)

What about making the kids the food providers to Goliath and have the kids start training Goliath with sit, down, etc. commands?

The difference between the first photos and now is just amazing.  You have done such a great job in such a short time.

Great website.  Quick question.  How did you cast the dogs'paw prints?

Angus looks so adorable both in and out of his e-collar.  Glad to hear his surgery went well.  Nola is going in for his snip next Friday so I am hoping I get at least one photo of him in e-collar.
