Well I posted last night just before the site went down but it must not have gone through.
I want to wish Jamie, Micheal, and Bear the best as they start this new chapter in their lives. I only hope if I ever make it to the West Coast i will be able to visit you guys.
This is a forum, its also a family for many of us. Like any family or friendship feelings can be hurt by another when they don't fully think about their actions. EVERYONE needs to slow down and adopt a sort of holding pattern, like Holly instituted locking the thread, lets see where this goes, maybe it is for the best if not we have the orphanage. I understand many of the views in this thread and just feel at this point whats done is done, we have to see what comes of it.
Nipa I hope you are successful with this endeavor and become a part of the community much as Jamie and Micheal have been and hopefully will continue to be time permitting.
Tim

You asked about crates. I got Clifford's crate when he was still a puppy. I decided if I fit in it he would, see picture below. I found mine used in a newpaper ad for about $40. You find lots at yard sales too.

Absolutely love your crate evalution strategy.

LOL I think it will actually get better when he's bigger and I don't have to worry about crushing him becasue he's walking under my feet, or try to see if he's chewing on electrical cords laying behind the couch.

In that respect yes, they grow fast so it begins to limit the places they can get in trouble.

YES you are crazy, I hope your lucky enough to have either yourself or your other half able to to be the "stay at home Mom".

There is not really an answer to your question though as it varies so much from dog to dog. Our experience with newfs has been the first year can be really trying in different aspects of behavior, then your good for a while till they hit their terrible twos, after which they all seam to mellow out and become "productive memebers of society".

I forgot to add that today my brother and Mom took Kali to my Grandma's nursing home to visit her since Kali had a bath last night. She was a complete angel. She walked in and said Hi to everyone when normally she can be a bit reserved. She even handled the elevator like a pro. The only one she barked at was one of the social workers. An old lady came from all the way across the nursing home just to meet her. She definitely was a hit with the patients and the nurses. One nurse commented that it was nice to see a big dog for a change. So she may be making the trips to visit more often.

Here are the pics. Tim only had one of him and Kali he slacked on the photo department. He missed the photo oppurtunity of Kali helping Vinnie crab along the beach I guess she found a bunch for him and insisted on putting her nose in the bucket and almost got pinched. I put some pics he's taken from the beach so you can get a perspective.  In the one with the railroad tressle you can barely see it but one of the baby eagles is in it.  Then there's the view of Mohegan Sun which is straight across the cove.  I also added one of Kali telling Tim off and her out in our backyard since I haven't posted too many pics of her lately enjoy!

Well some friends of ours have a private beach on a river not far from our house and invited us to camp out night. It was beautiful and Kali had a blast. I will have Erin post a pic or two later.

And your puppies are soooo cute, you need to post way more pictures of them.

I totally agree with Clifford. I love your pups, want to see more pics of them, and like your posting. How else are you supposed to learn without asking questions?

There ya go Jamie, Micheal, and the Mods are the ones who have final say and you seam to have their approval so continue to be yourself and enjoy.
Also I prefer when someone gets their whole story out at once it limits confusion on whats being asked.

Hey Shawna, Missed you guys! I don't have much to offer other than to say try hanging out with Rich and Winslow some or what about your parents' Shepherd, do they still have him? I guess what I'm getting at is just getting her with old friends for some relaxed playtime. Keep us posted.
