Thank you the two on left are from rescue and the one on right everyone kept passing him on, so we are I think his 5th owner and he is so sweet. He is a keeper same as the rest! The black and white one whose name is Waldo, grabbed everything and anything that would fit in his mouth!!! Pulled it right out of the holes of the hamper!!! So we had to go through a lot with him and my daughter was really getting aggravated! No way could we leave with him uncrated!!!!! I would have nothing left in my house! I still can't trust him but he is 75% better and actually knows what no means now!! He has the real Bassett Attitude, never knew what it was till we got him!!  Hahahahaha! We love him though but he is still going to Alabama and he will miss me! He is about 63 pounds and bigger boned than the others but so lovable!!!! She will still visit often.
As of not killing each other are you talking about her and you??? Hahahahahaha!!!!  Just make sure you have some place to go to, to vent when have to!!! My son is calling me and telling me how many days there are left and I think I am ready to attack him!!!! Hahahahaha!!! But everything will be cool. My daughters is a Cinderella wedding because of how everything took place. I am sewing all the dresses so it has been hectic!!!! But everything will all fall into place!!! Get a notebook and mark and cross off as you go!!  Anytime you want some tips just message me!!! Be glad to give you some!!!

Everyone has been so nice on here and so welcoming. I have been so busy with my daughters wedding that I haven't had time to get on here much but I am going to try to do better getting on! 

Oh boy I am not going to remember everyone's name!!!! Hahahahaha! We have come to love the rescuers also and even though Henry was from a rescue in Kansas City missouri  Buddy was a preowned and unfortunately He was passed  from family to familly and then my daughter had him for about a month in a half and it didn't work out and she called us and we said why not!!!He loves it here, he is a great Basset!!  Henry gets a little lippy with him but we just basically growl with a knock it off voice and his lip goes back down. We want them two to get along because they both need a nice home and basically when you get them from a shelter or kennel you don't know what type of life they had and it is a whole new ballgame for everyone!  But you have all been wonderful!!!

Hi everyone! Thank you again and I am really enjoying this site!! You have all been so nice and thoughtful and your dogs are awesome!!!!  Mine are just short but not so small otherwise! This is the only dog that my husband has really enjoyed! He never had one when growing up and so it was challenging and out of all the dogs the Basset Hound worked the best for him. We had another one long time ago and he was awesome and than we didn't have another for quite a while and than decided to start again and of course it was Bassets again!! hahahaha! But I think you have to get what agrees with everyone in the family!  If my hubby is happy than we are all happy! hahahahha!!!!! Janese

Thank you everyone for being so welcoming to us!! We have been through a lot of stuff in the past 3 months and I think everyone here will do me some good! I love everyone's Doggies!  I have to work on getting ours to pose for nicer picture but that is okay they had a rough life and now they feel like they are Kings!! hahahahaha!!! I am trying to get my daughter to come on with her adopted Basset also which is all black and white and looks like a minature cow!!! Our two bassets had to gain at least 22 pounds after we got them but hers kept going for some reason. He got up to 65 lbs but we cut his feed and he has lost about 5-8 lbs. But he is a bigger boy and so lovable! So I will see if she wants to come on! After she gets married Waldo will move to Alabama with her! sob, sob, sob,!

Jeannie said that we would be coming on and I am so glad that she is getting Derby and  so here we are and I finally got my Bassett Hounds to sit!!! Phew! What a job that was! Buddy is on the Left and Henry is on the right.  We adopted Henry from a Bassett Hound Rescue and this is our second year with him. Vet said he must have had broken ribs at one time. Rescue told us he was 2 years but because of his arthritis along his back he is about 7 or 8 but he is such a good boy!!!!! Buddy we acquired about 3 months ago and it looks like he went through 4 homes and this will be his last!! They have a 55 x 240 foot privacy fenced yard to play in. This is one of our first times adopting Bassetts instead of getting a puppy! So we finally made it on here! Janese
