we have been trying to give Chloe extra attention, shes getting her food and treats first too. she gets in and out of the car first... etc. the problem mainly is that Lexi was with older danes who didnt do the puppy play stuff, and thats what Chloes all about. Its a combo of Chloe wanting to play all the time and not understanding what Lexi means, and Lexi not understanding how to play. Maybe Lexi sees it as unacceptable because the older dogs put her in her place when she tried that stuff on them... maybe, im not sure.

Shes finally home. We got her yesterday. For the most part things are going well, but the girls are still bickering because theyre both selfish. *sigh* I hope that settles down soon, I hate listening to it. Anywho! Shes a bit too fat, so Im going to be taking weight off of her and putting it on Chloe LOL. Heres some pics. Anyone have any suggestions on how to help them stop bickering that would be great...

zero farts alot, and it stinks. also i like to refer to him as Stewie from Family guy..u all know that episode when he is in the room "Lois, lois, lois, Mum mum mum, mummy, mummy, mumma, mumma, mom, mom, mom" she gets mad and yells WHAT, and he says hi and runs away?
*falls off chair laughing* thats my absolute favorite episode ever! i actually had him doing at as my ringtone on my old phone lol.

thank god he found you! bless you for taking him too! af for his growth, i wouldnt worry too much right now. hes only 6 months, hes still got growing to do. you probably dont want to speed up his growth more than what hes naturally going to do himself or else you could end up with a slew of problems. i would see a vet whos knowlegable of the breed and can help you out. good luck! and we need pics of all these babies!!

Great Dane Pictures / Our New Dane Might Be Here A Week Early!!
« on: November 14, 2007, 07:31:28 am »
OK, so now im REALLY excited! Our breeder called and left me a message that she was taking a pup to PA (shes in upper NY, im in Buffalo, which is still upstate...but not as upstate LOL) She asked if we wanted to meet her somewhere and she would bring Lexi to us then, instead of us having to drive 4hrs to her. Well I called her back and left a message and shes got to call me back yet, but as long as we do it early in the day, its perfect! I do have to work at 3, so if we cant do it before then, then we do have to wait untill next week, or if shes passing through on the way home, get her then! YAYYY! Im SO glad we went through and re puppy proofed the house and got rid of the furnature we didnt need to make more room already! This is a whole week earlier than we expected! YAYYY! and for anyone who missed my last post, this is our little Lexi. Shes going to be 5months old on the 25th, shes the one sitting up!

We are so excited. Fianlly we found a great breeder. The original price of the pups was 650, because they are pet quality and not show. which is fine with me, i dont need to show. but she said since they are older (5 months on the 24th) she took of 50... then she told me she had a slight umbilical hernea. She said it was tiny, but if it hadent gone away by the time she needed to be spayed, to have the vet fix it up, and send her the bill for it, and she would refund us that money. shes up to date on all her shots and wormed, and she is micro chipped.

im still thinking about it, if i can get time. right now we are having some troubles with her behavior. nothing huge, just puppy stuff. she went for so long not being able to be a puppy, that theres a huge rush of it now. for the most part shes great though. she has free run of the house all the time. i dont know many pups that at 6months they were trusted enough for that. she never gets into anything either. i need to get her into obedience class though, which we are doing very shortly, we are still trying to recoup money from her last hospital visit...mushro om toxicity. not our fault either, it was my moms fault. she let her outside and didnt watch her. ANYWAY, yeah we are still thinking about it, shes an inspiration to me too. shes completely changed our lives. for her 1yr birthday gift, we are probably going to get her a boyfriend... a nice harlequin boyfriend lol...
