Oops, that should be Dawg, not Bawg!  lol!

I had to share this photo I took on the weekend. Dear Mr. Cuddle Buttons is hunting my sweet OLD Brownie.  He is bearing up over the extra attention well, though.  He grunts when he has had enough and Mr. Cuddle Buttons leaves him alone.

So much fun, these two!

Whoa ... that's a big puppy! SO CUTE!

Last summer, yy chow mix dog, Brownie, had a ton of hot spots and smelled awful, the whole works and we were desperate to help him feel better. It had come on slowly over about a two year period.  I did some googling and found that chows needed more oil in their diet than pet foods provide.  I began adding 1 tbs olive oil to his food every evening.  Amazingly in about a week, his bad smell went away.  Within about two weeks, the hot spots were gone. And now he's just a normal doggie.

I don't know if this is a good solution for everyone, but it sure worked on Brownie.  His fur, also, has such a great shine to it now.

That poor mom.  The look on her face says, "I'm SO tired! How am I gonna do THIS?"  ... poor thing!

Will he still squirt if he is on a leash inside the house?

My chow mix started to squirt when I first brought Mr. Cuddle Buttons home.  After I realized he was going that, I put him on the leash when inside and he stopped.  It took about a week to find all the squirts and clean them, and another week for the odor to finally go away ... WHEW!

The puppy I keep on the leash indoors at all time, or in the crate.  They just can't help themselves. When they gotta go, they just go!

Good luck with that!  Don't clean it with Pine Sol ... it seems to amplify the odor. White vinegar helps, so does baking soda if it is carpet until you can get to the store to get the good stuff that was already recommended.

I believe his muzzle is getting lighter as he gets older.  He also had little dark tips on his fur and now its only like that on his tail.

He's SO smart.  He knows sit (Paige must have taught him that because he already knew that when I got him), shake, down, and this week he is learning 'stay'. Next week I'll teach him "come" and then the week after that we can start tricks (like roll over).

He had his rabies shot yesterday. I thought it was his last set of shots, but he's got two more series, each two weeks apart apparently according to the papers.

That poor puppy!  Paige, you will be glad to know that the vet handed me a pill (heartworm preventative) and said, "Give it to him later at home."

And of course, when an animal doesn't want to take a pill, you can always coat it in bacon grease AND put it in a piece of cheese.  Easy easy.

He's SO cute!!!

My Mr. Cuddle Buttons comes via Paige, too!  He's is a PRY mix but so adorable and growing SO fast!

I am having so much fun with mine!  You sound like you're having a blast, too. That's great!
