I responded to Bear's post this morning and last night, and both don't show up.  Then the one on fur, I tried 2 times, and they aren't there.

My "little" Suzy Q gained over 7lbs in just 20 days!  So now she is 39 lbs at 4.5 months roughly. lol  So according to the food chart on dogfood, I have been shorting her 1 cup of food a day.  No wonder she was acting up!  ::)

My little baby is growing up. :'(

Thanks!  She sure has the innocent look down pat, but don't be fooled! lol

Okay I admit I have a very smart dog, is in obedience training and doing great.  But one thing that is frustrating me is that she really pulls on the lease. The instructor says just to stop walking and stand still , until she stops and then start walking again. Is there anything else to do?  She is only 4 mo. old and she is so strong that she can almost pull me and I am not skinny by any means. lol

Then this weekend we discovered her protective bark, the deep one, I am sure she will shake the ground when she gets bigger.  But anyway she encountered a St Bernard. and she acted scared of it and wanted to protect me from it.  Now my trainer said that the dog (the st. bern)is having problems with aggression, plus the owner said that she is a therapy dog, not certified though :o.  So I don't know if my puppy was acting protective of me or was actually scared herself.  Any ideas?  I wasn't scared of the dog,  he was so cute and loved me petting him.  But this is the only time she really reacted this way to another dog, normally she wants to meet every dog and person she sees, very NOT shy or scared at all.

Okay same day, after my class is a class of 2   really aggressive terriers(same family)( I didn't know at the time) and when they walked one of their dogs by another one, that dog went wild and basically wanted to eat that other dog.  When Suzy Q saw this, she got all excited and started to bark and pull on my lease.

Today was just a frustrating day in training class, there are 3 shar pei's owned by 3 related families and they are also having aggression problems with all of them.  So the families take up all the time in our class with their problems that we barely get anything else done.

Thanks for listening to my vent.  Any tips on what to do with any of this other than maybe taking a Xanax before class?  ::)

Okay I will relax!  Because I know she would eat the entire bag of food if I let her!

DO you all think my newfie is underweight?  I know her mom was 120lbs. and her dad 140lbs.  I am starting to get worried now.

9
my newfie is 4 mo. and weighed in at 30 lbs,  but she is on puppy food for large breeds which don't allow the puppy to grow too fast.

When she was younger it seemed like maybe there was just too much to explore, she just wouldn't let me hold her maybe she didn't want to stay still and was doing that bite thing when I wanted to pet her.

She is just over 4 mo. old and a lot of her teeth have come in, and seems to not need to chew so much or be as nippy.  Plus she comes up to me and wants attention now. ;D  Which I totally love!  I thought it was me or something. ::) I want to add more pictures, but I keep getting an error message that the photos are too big.  But they are on my blog!

She also had her first steak bone.  I took it away when it got too little but boy was she in heaven.

Then she has also discovered my koi pond with the waterfall and fish.  Boy am I in trouble :o  She thinks she is in Disney World or something! haha

My guys play with dogs of all sizes at our local park, though I try to keep them away from really small dogs just because I'm afraid they might step on them. The one thing they just can't resist is a tiny, white, fluffy dog running, LOL! You learn pretty fast what signs the owners give off when they're uncomfortable with their dogs playing with yours (the dogs will tell your dogs in no uncertain terms, LOL!).
  You mean guinea pigs?  lol

Weimeraner maybe? Hang in there - my Pyr plays with almost any other dog in the park including pugs. It's hilarious.

That it!  I had to google to see what they look like.  They are beautiful dogs, but not enough fluff for me! haha!  Someday when I get a home in the country, I am going to have a Pyr and a Bernese Mountain dog also!

You all are so great (well I should have known you have Newfies)  I went into my training class today and she out preformed all of those doggies.  I keep thinking to myself, it is THE OWNERS not the dogs, the poor dogs. I heard one person say about me, there she goes, trying to get someone to play with her dog. I just laughed, at least one person was okay for a bit, and the trainer was watching and letting others know that it was playing and not fighting.
Yesterday I had an awesome time at a local park.  There was some people with 2 labs and this other gorgeous dog, kinda like a gray lab, but I forgot what guys said he was.  I know he said it was a hunting dog. Well my suzie Q got to play with them and she was in heaven!  The guy was hitting balls with his golf club while dogs went to chase them.  It was great! Then they were throwing the balls into the creek and my Suzy Q wouldn't go in the deep water, but she looked at the others dogs with total amazement at what they were doing. haha! Poor Suzy Q was so tired she napped the rest of the evening. She could hardly climb the stairs to go to bed.

My cat loves the guinea pigs!  I wouldn't leave them alone, but normally he comes up to snuggle when we are holding our guinea pigs. They actually groom each other!  My little piggies will be able to actually hide in my newfie! lol
