Discussions & Information on Grooming / Re: Booster Bath?
« on: May 02, 2008, 02:00:57 pm »
I have the booster bath. Unless your dog will climb a ramp easily, don't bother. My big boy is 135 lbs but the ramp that is made for the tub flexes under his weight and he won't climb it. Getting him in is a real challenge.

Is this food made by Blue Buffalo?  If it is that's what I am currently feeding. I switched to it about a month ago. So far I like the results.

I'm in Omaha Nebraska. I'd be willing to help out if they come this way.

I formula fed both of my girls, as long as the baby is gaining, let baby set the schedule. They will usually take more as they grow. I always made bottles an ounce over what I knew that they would eat and would increase as they started to take all of the bottle. My oldest never took more than 4 ounces at a time until she was 9 months old. She slept through the night starting at 8 weeks. So as long as baby is gaining, now worries, baby will let you know when they need more.

Our Pyrs have been raised around the neighbors kids and dogs. They will bark to say come pet me, or bark to let us know one of the kids is doing something they shouldn't be or their dogs are out of the yard. They even bark when a new car pulls into the neighbors driveway. They look at them as an extension of their pack.

Food Discussion & Information / For the raw feeders

I'm not sure if any of you are within reasonable driving distance of Omaha but if you are,

I have had to go back to feeding kibble to my 2 dogs.  :( As a result of this I have probably 30-50 lbs of meat in my freezer that I can't use. If anyone would be interested for just the cost of gas to pick up, please email me at blhender@cox.net.

Good luck, my 18 year old daughter had hers taken out last Friday. She had iv sedation. She's doing great. She has been living on ice cream, jello, chicken noodle soup. She goes back for her follow-up today.

My dogs hate the Gentle Leader/Haltie as well. We have found that the Sense-ation harness works wonderfully and they don't mind it at all. Gentle leader makes a similar one. http://www.softouchconcepts.com/

We put ours in the bathroom and cut a kittie door, and keep the door closed. Our downstairs box is a covered one that the dogs can't get into.
