Dalmatian Discussions & Pictures / The first day of school

My kids were used to sleeping in late throught most of the summer.  It's difficult for (one of) them to get up at 6:45 A.M. for School

I went to my neighbors to take Lily (a small Beagle, born in November. )  out today while her mom was at work. To my surprise she was in her kennel with one of those choke chain type traing collars on, the kind with the prongs.  ???  It is so tight I couldn't believe it!

I guess my neighbor does not know those are only to be worn while training/ walking.
Well; I took Lily out for a walk, then brought her back to my house to see if I could get it off of her, as I was worried about leaving her, like that. It was so tight there's no way I could get it off!
Is there some kind of trick to it?

After she and Hannh played a bit, I just took her home and returned her to her kennel.  :-[ :-\
If I figure out how to get it off, though, I'll go back and do that.

Hi people and big paws;

I've not visited her for awhile.  So you may have exhausted this topic, I looked around though, and didn't see any posts about this.
In August we went on holiday to Australia. We boarded Hannah at a very nice place we've used for years, they warned us of a really bad flu going around that is often fatal.

They wanted to warn us before we left her there.   Not that they had had any cases, none reported here in Washington State yet, but they wanted us to be aware, being exposed to many dogs, there was a possibillity of infection.
It's been on the news recently here, I wonder what you know about it where you live.

People are staying away from local dog parks here in fear.

I'm very into my daily routine, but for some reason, I was slow moving, a real surprise for my mom. I like to do the same things at the same time of day and always in the same order.
Just after waking up I like to go on my walkies to our neighborhood park, then breakfast and then, I kick back and relax in the sun. (hopefully)
Here's what it looks like, around our house in the morning.

Dalmatian Discussions & Pictures / Hello, there.... We're new to BPO

What a great Forum you  have here! :D
We are here posting from Washington State.
It looks like our paws are not nearly as big as most, here.  Despite her unfortunate puppyhood, our Dal, Hannah has the attitude of a giant dog, she is gentle and mellow.  How nice it will be for us to make some new friends.
