Remembering those no longer with us. / Goodbye George
« on: October 04, 2005, 12:44:20 am »
Just saying goodbye to George, our Great Pyrenees. George was 2 years old when he died. He escaped from our fenced property and was killed by a neighbor's horse. George was a rescue dog and was greatly loved by us all. He is missed by all his dog and cat friends at our ranch. See you on the other side, Georgie.

Remembering those no longer with us. / Marco Polo
« on: August 04, 2005, 08:32:25 am »
Marco Polo, the Tibetian Mastiff died in 2000 at age 11. His life was a full one and this gentle giant touched evryone whom he met. He loved the Indiana weather, loved the cool fall nights when he slept on the porch and loved the snow falling on his coat. even though he was older then, a snow fall sent him into a puppy-like play romp. He was our GSD Thor's best buddy and never quite got over his loss: he always seemed to be looking for him. Marco was a descendant of Kalu, the foundation dog for TMs in America and was a grand, serene, beautiful dog.

Wait for us at the other side boy......

Remembering those no longer with us. / In memory of Ivy
« on: August 04, 2005, 08:27:33 am »
Ivy died in 2003, in the middle of a severe February Minnesota snow storm. She was a Bouvier Des Flanders, only 4 years old. A rescue dog with a great pedigree, Ivy came to us with many health problems. She was however, the greatest dog we ever had. Her sense of adventure was only matched by her humorus antics with my family. She was a large girl, 130 pounds and never met soemone she did not like. She irrated Bear, our older male Bouv and loved our cats. She was best known for running through the apple orchards on the way to the pond and stopping to munch the occasional fallen apple. We miss her every day, every day. There will never be another one like her.

Until we meet again, Ivy girl....

Remembering those no longer with us. / Remembering Bear
« on: August 04, 2005, 08:21:04 am »
We lost Bear this year, right after the first. Bear was a 14 year old Bouvier Des Flanders. He was a rescue and a great friend and protector. We hiked and camped the Swiss Alps together and traveled over the US. He was a friend of all our cats and most of our dogs. A grand old boy who until the end had a puppy-like quality about him. He loved the snow, hated the water, and tolerated the North Texas heat.

Till we meet gain, Bear Buddy......... .....
