Hello Everyone!

I am currently working on a research project for school and was wondering if you could fill out this survey for me.  I need around 100 people or so to respond to it by this weekend, so have your husband/wife/friend/etc. take it too!  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thank you in advance for all of your help!

Please reply to this message or email me at ARTSYANGEL7@UDATA.COM and highlight your responses in some way so that I know which answers you selected (i.e. bold text, underline, different color, etc.)

Behavior, Housebreaking, Obedience / My weim is still nursing at two!
« on: December 21, 2005, 03:56:38 pm »
My weim nurses on his stuffed babies!  He puts the head into his mouth and sucks away -- he even moves his paws like he is pushing milk out!

This started the day we brought him home at 7.5 weeks and at the age of 2 he still does it!  Before bed, he always has to find a baby and "nurse" for an hour or so.  It seems to relax him for sure.  Many times he falls asleep with the stuffed animal still in his mouth.

Anyone else have a suckling pup?

Anyone have any solutions/remedies for poop eating?  My adorable vizsla puppy (7 months) has a nasty habit of snacking on her own poop!  I have tried using ForBid but have not had any luck with it.  I have heard of using meat tenderizer, but am not sure how much I should use.  In the mean time, I have just been cleaning the mess up before she can nibble on it.  Perhaps she will grow out of this phase?  Please Help!

Weimaraner Discussions & Pictures / Pink Nose Weimaraner!
« on: December 20, 2005, 06:26:52 pm »
Around the age of 6 months, my weimaraner's nose started losing it's color.  His once brown nose turned pink!

I discussed this matter with several vets, all of whom told me that this sometimes happens with this breed.  I have also heard that this may be a sign of an immune problem.  However, this doesn't seem to be the case.  Titan is a healthy, happy weim who just turned two (see attached picture).  One vet even suggested that I have his nose tattooed!  WHAT!?!  Titan may have a speckled nose, but I love him just the same!

Just wondering if anyone else has seen pink noses in weims and what causes this loss of pigment.

Food Discussion & Information / The Canine Canteen - Custom Dog Feeders
« on: December 20, 2005, 04:19:21 pm »
Hello fellow dog lovers!

My name is Brianna.  I am a proud parent of a big paw named Titan (weimaraner) and a not-so-big-paw named Liberty (vizsla).

My weimaraner tends to inhale his food at times.  This of course, has always led to excess gas in his sensitive belly.  This led my husband and I to design our own elevated dog feeders.  My husband and I are very excited about our new product, The Canine Canteen.  We have received very positive reviews thus far.  We think fellow do lovers will agree!
