Groans, Gripes, Brags & Boasts / Talk about schizoid neighbors
« on: April 10, 2006, 07:04:47 am »
Let me set the scene... 5 years ago we moved into a semi rural neighborhood.  We wanted privacy but could not afford any acerage so we picked a house on a small street with only 3 houses on it.  We pretty much stay to ourselves and live and let live.  And two years later the neighbors from h*ll moved right next door.  I have ignored these people and their ignorance for pretty much 3 years until Saturday.  My friend brought her dog over and we let the dogs off leash to play.  Well they went into the neighbors yard and the woman came out and told us to get the dogs off of her property.  I said OK and rolled my eyes.  Well appearently my voice tone was not to her liking and she started going off on me.  I pretty much told her to F-off and tried to get the dogs back in the house.  I obviously was not moving fast enough for her and she proceeded to kick one of my dogs.  To make long story short I got about two inches from her face and told her if she lifts a foot to my dog again my baseball bat and her face would be having a meeting and few other choice words.  After we got the dogs in the house I did get a little immature and told her to take her fat #$Q back in the house.  She said her $%@ in no fatter than mine (it soooo is,  I'm about a size 9 and she is about a 14, not that I have an issue with anyones weight but you mess with me and my dogs I will throw anything in your face I can)  I then had to remind her I've seen her in a bikini and it wasn't pretty.  Any way now I cannot let my dogs off leash and I have to worry everytime one of the kids opens a door that they may let a dog out.  A fence is not an option. Anyone have any suggestions for a run?  And before anyone says I should have clocked her which I very much wanted to, I work in healthcare and an assult charge would put my job in jepordy.

Anything Non-Dog Related / advice with small furry animals
« on: April 05, 2006, 08:36:19 am »
I'm thinking about getting my 8 year old son a small animal (rodent?).  He is a very independent, often bucky and hard headed little boy.  He has a hard time showing affection to people but he is awesome and gentle with animals.  I'm thinking a pet of his own would be very good for him.  Now I know I will be ultimatly responsible for it but I want something he can care for.  Any ideas?  I originally thought of a reptile the threat of somanella scares me to death.   Keep in mind we have 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Hi- I am the mother of a slightly big paw Collie - Chopper, Honey a slightly overweight mixed paw (I had to explain to her eating alot will not make you a big paw - only fat), three kitties who the dogs love to chew on and last but not least 3 two legged kids.  I am also the sister of Gypsy Jazmine - who I love dearly though I am not as fanatical as her about any of my babies.  My life's moto is I can't be bothered.  Don't get me wrong I love all my babies - human and furry and I do the best I can for them but I don't stress easy, it's a waste of my energy.  8)
