Well Bear and I entered the dating scene today....I met a guy I went to high school years ago at a party last night. He messaged me on facebook this am and then we ended up going on a FANTASTIC date  :) Took Bear for a walk in the forest and then went out for nice dinner. Woohoo

I want to call...but I don't have a farm. Do you think the Newf really needs a farm???

We have a female purebred Newfoundland who needs room to roam; with a good family. She is a very friendly dog who loves people. She is also spayed. She is approx. 15 months old. She is microchipped and registered with the CKC. Black in color. Reason for us trying to find her a new home is she does not like to be enclosed or tied up in back yard. Only people with a farm location need call and only very serious enquiries. Call during daytime 519-323-2528. Ask for Kelley.

Well after a brutal few months, Chris and I have decided to break up. Good news that Bear dog is coming with me...bad news is I am stuck with packing up all my stuff and likely going back to live at my parents place :(. I hope Bear's daycare lady will still look after but its a 15min drive away so not sure :(. I feel like sh*t today but its the best for both of us. Hopefully I will be able to get a place for Bear and I sometime soon.

Well I am afraid mine and Bear's living situation may be changing in the near future :(. My relationship is going sour and I think it may be best for us to move on. On my own I can only probably afford a townhouse or condo. Not sure how Bear will adjust as she is a big barker at ppl coming to door, walking by our house, any movement in our backyard etc. Just wondering if anyone has experienced barking issues with a townhome??

Behavior, Housebreaking, Obedience / Bear -- New Neighbourhood Bully

Oh my sweet timid Bear has turned into a neighbourhood bully on our walks now. Up until a few months ago she would lay down and politely wait for dogs to come up to her on our walks. Now seh lays down and then lunges at them, growling, barking and towing me across the street :(. I have tried telling her to "stay", "leave it" and distracted her with treats to no avail. Any better ideas? She has turned from the neighbourhood sweetheart into a territorial maniac! :'(

Bear woke up with on eof her lower eyelids very swollen and turned out...I was reading about ectropian eyelids...anyo ne had experience with this? Are they puffy? I am hoping to get her into the vet today....it just looks painful :(

Just heard about a recall on dog jerky treats, chicken I think. They are made in china and causing dogs to throw up, have diarrhea and lose weight -- no reported deaths. The radio station said a list of affected brands would be out shortly from the american vet association... so keep your ears open if you give your pups any jerky products

Not sure if you've seen this cute website yet...make sure you turn on sound lol

TYPE IN a command and see what happens... sit, roll over, down, stand, sing,
dance, shake, fetch, play dead etc. and...it's also very cute if you type in
a command that's not recognized...!!

Make sure you type in "Kiss" too, but do it last.

Bear has a very weepy red right eye, it is oozing yellow goop that crusts similar to human pink eye. ?I can't get her to the vet til Friday....any thing I can do til then? Do dogs get pink eye?!
