Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Discussions / Swissy help

Hi,
I am adopting a year and a half old swiss mountain dog. He has GI tract issues and is on medication and prescription food that does not have healthy ingredients I am wondering if anyone has a dog with this type of problem and any suggestions of dog foods or other methods that I should try.
