to sound like a broken record, THANK YOU so much to you and your husband!!!!  Jeanne, I am so proud of what you both are doing to help these animals who cant help themselves. I keep thinking of the animals that have lost their homes and families and are so traumatized now, and thankfully we have people like you who are out there making a difference in these animals lives.  Bless you!!!

Please keep us posted.  My thoughts and prayers are with you :)

Congrats Red!  so glad to hear that Penny did well this weekend :)
Looking forward to seeing pics of Penny!

I'm going to read one of the books you've suggested on showing.  I'm interested in learning more it.  I've never shown before and really am clueless about how it works. I have been to a few shows, but am not sure how to even enter the arena of show. I'd like to see if we can show Rocco.  He's now 6 months, and is progressing wonderfully in obediance.  We're going for therapy certification as he gets older. He seems to fit the breed standards very well (or am I just biased?! ;D

Great Pyrenees Discussions / Re: Drool

I live in Drool! As I walked into our office just now I noticed dried drool with hair stuck on it on the office door ::)

Our Bella has not been much of a drooler...she is more tight lipped. But Rocco is such a drooler that he makes up for the drool Bella doesnt have!  He's almost 6 months and has been drooling since we got him.  We had to buy a bib, because when he drools it mats his chest hair. The bib does seem to help. Other than that, we carry drool rags with us, and boy they come in handy!  Rocco seems to drool more when he is excited or hot.  Either way, we live in drool around here. Drool and dog hair, but when you have News, that's to be expected :)

Love the pictures ;D  Felony is getting so big.  What a cute smiling face she has!
We can relate with the tennis balls.....we went thru so many this summer. I think the majority of ours sank in the lake here when we took our gang swimming.  Bella would lose the ball and it would sink because she had ripped it apart earlier...at least she had fun while it lasted ;)

Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: Your Gas Prices
« on: September 02, 2005, 07:13:45 am »
Well here in the Detroit area gas is $3.39 now for regular unleaded.  I'm a CNN buff and heard this morning that gas prices are expected to rise another 25-40 cents over the next 5 days.  YIKES.

I agree with Gypsy!  People like that drive me mad. After all, our giant breed dogs are well behaved and have manners but beacuse of their sheer size they get stereotyped and discrimated against >:(
Whenever we are around people like that, I hope Bella and Rocco fling some flying drool their way ;D  That always spices things up!!

Just heard on our news in Detroit that gas is anywhere from $3.14 to $3.25 per gallon now. I also heard the prices may jump another 15 cents in the next few days.

I'm so happy this worked out ;D
She is precious.  She looks so sad, I just want to hug her!!!  I know you will give her lots of love and TLC--just what she needs.  I'm so glad the jerk that had her gave her up--good decision on his part now she can have a happy loving life with you :)
What will you name her?
