Remembering those no longer with us. / I lost my best friend Buddy
« on: March 10, 2008, 11:54:41 am »

I lost my best friend, Buddy. It was very sudden. He went peacefully in my arms. Buddy was in all honesty was the sweetest and gentle soul I have ever known. He left his mark on you both literally(with drool and hair),and with his gentleness. I wonder around my quiet apartment and he is missing even when he is sleeping you could feel his presence. But I know in my heart he is running with all the other big kids at the bridge. I know I will rescue again but not sure when I will be able to do that definitely not for a while. But when I am ready I will start the search for another big kid that needs a loving home and I also want to have that love back in my place again. All of you know how incredibly quiet it is when there is no pet in your home.

Well what cuties you have. Do you belong to EMOC also? I think your kids look familiar.

I did notice a few people I know here and everyone is very nice. If it stops raining Kim we can plan a meetup or we can build an ark at this rate. I will post more pics of Bud when I get some new ones these are old now.

Just remember a tired dog is a happy dog. You have your work cut out for you. Before training I would take him out and tire him out first. You will probably have a little more luck getting his attention and mega praise when he listens. If you have a couple of leads around the house attach them together and he can play fetch and you still have him in control. Good luck and I am sure he will be worth all the sleepless nights. Try tiring him out before bed that may help as well.

I love the breed I had a Puli and I know there used to be a couple Komondors in the beaches area. But you do not see many around the city. Can you contact the breed club they may be able to help you

Hi I was just told about your site and love the fact that it is all big and giant dogs. I am owned by a fawn reverse English Mastiff named Buddy. Buddy is a rescue who has been with me for 3 years. Before Buddy I had a Neopolitan Mastiff that was also a rescue he is the one that got me hooked on Mastiffs. I generally just love big dogs the bigger the better.
