i am so sorry about your loss, we lost our neo tess at 6 two years ago, we still dont know why, they are the most lovable creatures and it rips your heart out when they pass away, hopefully your new pup will fill your hearts back up with happiness

It is nice to find like minded people who care so much about their pets

:D hi there, thanks for the swift reply! didnt realise the time diffence! thats reassuring, we always thought that it was best for them to be lean so that their joints dont get damaged, i suppose its because she is having a growth spurt and we were worried in case she wasnt intaking enough energy but by the way she runs around everywhere, i dont think thats the case!

So sorry to hear yours has epilepsy, thats quite unusual

Rare Breed Mastiff Discussions / Re: Any Dogue de Bordeaux owners?
« on: January 31, 2007, 03:53:42 pm »
 :)greetings from the uk!
I have asha a 6month old dogue de bordeaux along with a 2 yeal old choc lab called willow.

Having had a neoplitan mastiff before called tess who died at the age of 6, we thought we would go for a smaller mastiff instead.

Asha is already 35kg, so dont think she will be that small! I must say she is the most affectionate big baby i have ever owned, she loves to sit on our knees at every opportunity! :)

hi there, from the uk, i have a 6month DDB bitch called asha i was a little worried that she may be too lean as i can see most of her ribs faintly through her fur, but she weighs about 35kg now so i presume that is an ok weight? i was thinking about supplimenting her food with tripe?
