Hey Kat,

We also have a slew of cats.. seven to be exact. What is the  name of your friend the animal trainer.. may know them.. industry is pretty small up here. We our actually looking for several malinois' to buy for a production coming up this summer. Need one female and two males... we would like good quality lines and we need to teach them bite work for the movie. Preferably one to two years old. You know of any for adoption at rescues or for sale would love to hear from you.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Sorry I haven't posted in a while have been busy. I am going to attempt to attach a cpl pics.. need to scan some more to the computer. Hope it works. First pic is a picture of us teaching Logan to snarl. the second is of our poor chihuahua who has to be my daughters dress up doll...lol.

As far as getting the beer from the fridge u need to teach it in two steps. If your dog loves to fetch and carry you things then it should be easy. I use the command go beer for him to go to the fridge and get the beer. So start with go beer and get him or her to understand that he is fetching u a beer.. use a bottle they will puncture cans and yes u will break a few. Just place it in different places in the house.. obviously start close and simple. Once they understand the go beer. Then teach the towel on the fridge gag.. tie the towel to the handle.. just get them to tug on it even if u use your hand first then transfer it to just the door..then combine the two once they have each behavior down seperately. Don't forget their favorite treats.

Hey Tim,

My name is Drew Thompson, I live in Vancouver, BC.
I am an animal trainer for film and television and that is
in fact my dog in the movie. His name is Logan, I enjoyed reading all the posts at guesses to the kind of breed he is and am flattered. He is a Bernese Mountain and English Mastiff X. If you look on the internet at Registered Mix Breeds I actually just found this in the past couple weeks there are people apparently breeding them now in the U.S. as they make an amazing cross and he is easily the smartest dog I have ever trained. They are calling them a Mountain Mastiff.
Any other questions I would be happy to answer them.
