Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: NDR: Going home for a wedding.

It should be interesting.  My husband is amazing :) :)  He has this strange habit of not pissing me off.  We have always been in sync pretty well, except for when were not ;) which is really weird cause were just so used to being in sync.  But my family on the other hand...well we are all very open and honest.  Functional communication and all that stuff (dad is a PHD drug counselor).  So no one really takes a crazy woman's hormones and irrationality into perspective cause were usually so functional and sane...well for the most part ;)

So, in other words, ive never had to deal too much with my hormonal instibility yet...this should be fun.  Watch the news, if Salt Lake City, Utah implodes you know why ;)

Hello everyone!!!  I know many of you don't know me that well and im kind of touch and go but since moving to Seattle this is one of the only pieces of home and family i could take with me.  After find out we were pregnant with our first child i needed a place to go, and you were it!!

Now that the back story is exposed (obviously hormonal ;)) I just wanted to say that i may not be around for the next few weeks.  Im heading back to Utah for my best friends wedding and to see all the families.  I know my step mom is going to kill me, she cant believe that im going to have her first grandchild away from her!!!  LOL!! Anywho...thank you all for being there for me even if you didnt know it.  I have tried to be around more and hopefully i still can.

Thank you :)

WOW!!! you have a lot going on right now, breathe... and again, breath...
Ok, cats are amazing!!! i have many in my day and the toughest one still was Spot.  He was 7 lbs tops and front declawed, he would take on full sized racoons outside of our house.  The lay down and kick with their back feet like you've never seen before!! They are fighters!!!

Down side, if you live in a populated area there is the possibility of cars :( :(  But if she is still running around the yard to the point that you can see here STILL i doubt she is going out in the streets.

Again, breath...

My thoughts are with you :) :) :)

I have no ideas either.  My boy would throw himself on the door of the crate till he was bleeding all over the place.  Crating just didn't work for him, to our couches dismay  :(  But i wanted to say how innocent and sweet she looks.  Or is it just full?

I'm so happy that award exists!!!  These big boys save our lives on a daily basis and one went up and beyond the "call of duty", oh! it just makes me so happy that people notice that.  Sorry this is a little jagged, i am just so moved by the story.  Congrats on getting to be a part of it!!!!!

I'm sooooo sorry about the morning sickness :(  I am auctually on my way in half an hour to my 2nd doctors appointment for our first kid.  They say that i should only have about a week left in the first tri and that should mean only one more week of "morning sickness" (which we all now know is "all day sickness" :(  I feel you pain and move over!!!

Transporting & Traveling With Dogs / Re: Hello....
« on: October 23, 2008, 04:40:46 am »
Usually there is a "quarentine"  period for animal going from one country to another.  You also need a vet check up (tell them that you are going back to the states and they will give them all the shots they need and the note that you are to give the people at the airport).  You will also need a transport certified crate.  Every country has different laws but because you are with the military they may have different standards.  Check with your base office and they should be able to tell you the details.  Good luck and welcome back!!! :)

GRRR!!!! Makes me angry!!! *picture me being very big and very green*

Oye!  I just cant stand that.  Though i did end up adopting the strangest most interesting cat that way.  I was over at my friends house and smoking on their back porch (they lived south of the city so it was a bit rural) and suddenly this purring like a chain saw starts from under the porch!  We coax out the little kitten (who seems to be a siemese mix-really cute) who is so desperate for attention that he just HEARS people and starts to purr so bad that he is almost choking!!!  I see that he has a really bad eye infection so i tell everyone not to pet him (we all have cats of our own and dont want to infect them too, just in case) but feed him and water him.  I tell my friend that if hes not gone in 4 days that ill take him to the vet and keep him.  So 4 days later she calls me and says that the chainsaw is still under the porch.  He had a collar and was so beautiful we just hoped someone would come back for him, or he would find his way home...

So we got Romper Stomer, who then became Little Keifer, who then became Keifer, then Little Evil to just plain Evil.  My ex husband still has him and grew up to be the most crazy cat in the world!!! LOL!!!  Really lives up to his name :) you would startle him and he would just about 4 feet into the air with a twist (no joking!!!)  As he got older he got more beautiful and took him to a breeder friend and turns out he is a ?birameese? a cat worth $700!!!!

Their loss, my gain.

So far what i have noticed with Rasputin, my 3 year old Pyr, is that his "teething" stage didn't end until he was 2!!!!  When i had him and his brother they were a shredding machine!!!  The only thing that i can tell you is one) paper towels: they are cheap and Rasputin LOVES them!!! bit of a mess though  two) some people have had luck with bitter apple spray and other deterrant sprays.  I have not.  I tried about everyone on the market with no avail.  I probably ended up eating more of it that my boy!!! LOL!!  I agree with the other, Pyr's dont have endless amount of energy.  Tire them out before bed so they sleep through the night.  Out of sight out of mind.  I have had to retrain my husband (who has a chiuahaha so doesn't understand the fact that the counter is not out of reach for a Pyr) to clear off all tables, counters and floors for tasty chewables for a Pyr.  Its taken years but the destruction is down to an all time low!!!  Good luck my dear, dont loose hope.  If you can make it through this frustrating stage you will never regret the joy and love that a Pyr will bring to you and your home.  I will have one for the rest of my life and if you can hold on i think that you will have a new obsession like the rest of us ;) :) :)

I grew up with a samoyed that had NO pigment in her nose.  We had to keep a tube of bullfrog 50 spf on the table to put on her nose every time we let her out.  We also tried tattooing her nose, poor thing :(  The tattoo came off in a week, nothing worked but the sun screen.  So i'm not worried about cancer from his nose.  I just wanted to make sure that he wasn't nutrient diffecent or anything like that.  Thank you sooooo much everyone :) :) :)
