thats true. im more scared that a pup may not find the perfect home and i dont know if i could deal with that. i would hate to bring a pup into the world and have it suffer. i wanted to have the experiece of a litter but im just afraid of the what ifs, like you said. i dont know if i could deal with one suffering or a still birth. i think im makin up my own mind..lol i guess i just wanted more info from people that have been through this or have seen this.  thanks for the info!

ya its not the best. they wanted me to go back and pick out another one but i just cant see myself doing all that since the contract has changed and you HAVE to feed your dog their dog food and the price for it is OUTRAGEOUS! also why would i go back since 2 dogs didnt work out. i cant risk my family and home again. the last 2 were not what they said they were. with the new contract i think you have to buy 4 bags at a time and they are like 40-50 bucks each. too much for me! i did get the pup you see from the paper for $200 and she is AKC..well i still have to send off for the papers but i do have it to file.

i used to get comments all the time with my 1 1/2 yr old dane. they always asked me why i woiuld get such a big dog with 5 kids. if he sits on them and so forth. i say no he is a great GENTLE GIANT! here is how gentle he was. i say was because i had to put him to sleep due to kidney failure.  look at how vicious he is..wow how can we keep such big dogs *rolls eyes*...he was such a wonderful dog. his name was Goofy because he was just that. the name fit him so well. i loved him so much. i miss him still..he was the runt of the litter and when i got him he has alot of knicks all over him from the other pups using him as a chew toy. we had a pick between him and a pup twice the size as him but my heart when out to him. i knew that he was going to be the last choice for anyone if anyone wanted him. he was so gentle and loving. it killed me to have to decide that the time was here to put him to sleep. i stayed with him till he took his last breath. here is my 1st dane..this is why we get the GIANT breed dogs....

i have adopted from them, well kinda i guess you can say. took back 1st dog and got a another one but had to take that one back as well. lost out on $950 wish i had luck with them but i can say i didnt..

san diego here as well. im in Tierrasanta. i have a great dane pup along with a chihuahua...

forgot to add she is a Great Dane...im sure ya frigured that out tho..lol

awwww so cute!!!!! so glad you finally got your dane. they are so cute at this age. congrats!!!!

here are some pics of Sophie. one when she was just 10 wks old and some when she was 4 months old. she is now almost 6 months old ( the 14th she will be 6 months old) and is a heafty 77 lbs. she is a handfull and is so funny. she is my 2nd dane that i have had. my other had to be put to sleep right before he turned 2 yrs old due to kidney failure. so here are some pics..
