Newfoundland Pictures / Re: Sully's Day at the Apple Orchard
« on: October 03, 2006, 09:48:06 am »
The weather was absolutely georgeous. It was in the low 70's with a nice breeze.

He did get a few apples, but first he liked daddy to cut them up for him and take off the skin. Can you say SPOILED.

Newfoundland Pictures / The gang
« on: September 17, 2006, 02:38:14 pm »
Here is some pics of the gang. They are Sheba (14 year old GSD), Harley (5 year old St. Bernard), Ozzy (4 year old English Mastiff) and Sully (6 month old Newfie). Our Shepherd is really camera shy, so it is rare to get them all in one pic.

Here is Sully's first attempts at jumping off the dock. It was really neat watching him gain his confidence at each jump. He did such a great job.

Saint Bernard General Discussions / Re: Who's dog is BIGGEST???

Our Saint Harley weighs in at around 185 pounds. He is extra tall for a Saint though. He should probably loose about 5 pounds.

If that isn't a pitiful face, I don't know what is. What a cutie pie and what a good boy for staying upstairs.

I would be very careful about letting her pet your dog. She sounds like the type of person that if your dog drools on her that she would try to sue or accuse him of biting her. I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT! GRRRRR!!!!!!

Old English Mastiff Discussions / Re: My poor Ozzy Roo...UPDATE
« on: August 17, 2006, 04:12:02 am »
OK. So here is what we found out from the radiologist. It is definately a bi-lateral (both knees) chronic ACL issue. The good news is he does think that, despite his arthritis, the surgery should help him get back to 90%. Not to bad. The bad news is, I sent some recent x-rays of my Saint Bernard and he also has at least one knee (only had xrays of his left knee) that has chronic ACL injury. So now I have to somehow come up with $2800 x 3 to cover each knee. My hubbie has offered to sell his boat, so that will definately help.

I could use anyones experience with recovery of ACL surgery. I know I can only do 1 knee at a time with Ozzy, but do you think I should do Ozzy and Harley at the same time so they can recover together. We also have a very energetic 6 month old newfie that is not going to appreciate not being able to play with his buddies for so long.

Thanks everyone for your support.

I can't believe how fast time goes by. What happened to my little floof ball. He is getting so mature.

This is the day we brought him home.

Here he is a couple of weeks ago.

It is rare that everyone sits nice next to each other for an extended period of time so I thought I would take advantage with some pics.
