Pictures from the Newf Fun Day in Cambridge, MN. Had a great time, but it was very hot out, so didn't stay long.

Musical Sit game. Sully did great. He came in 3rd.

Practicing healing.

Dunking for apple. Not a great pic but he did actually get one out.

Newfoundland Pictures / Sully's day at the park

We took Sully to the Minnehaha Dog Park a couple of weeks ago and he had a blast. It is on the Mississippi River. I was combing sand out of him for days.

I love them all. You should definately consider doing a coffee table book. I would buy one (or two).

I just went nuts on Amazon the other day and got 7 new Newfie books, including the one you mentioned. Can't wait to get them.

My hubby doesn't like getting his picture taken. He would kill me if he knew I posted this. I just thought they looked cute together.

Just wanted to show everyone that Sully does love his other brother Harley also. Although Harley is still not quite sure about him yet.

My favorite is when you are at a crowded event and someone asks you if he bites. Yeah, I would bring a dog that would bite around hundreds of people. Duh!!!

The shedding question is funny also, because I am usually covered in hair when asked. No, all this hair on my shirt is from me.

It really bothers me when people cringe up their face and ask these questions like he is some kind of mutant alien and they refer to him as a "thing". Example = "How much does that thing weigh?", How much did that thing cost?". Grrrrrrrr!!!

Saint Bernard General Discussions / Re: New Saint Mom!
« on: June 13, 2006, 06:47:30 am »
What a cutie pie. Welcome to BPO. You're going to love it here.

I am owner by a German Shepherd Dog (Sheba - 14 years), St. Bernard (Harley - 5 years), English Mastiff (Ozzy - 4 years) and our newest addition a Newfoundland (Sully - 4 months). Whew, I think that's it. Oh, and my hubby Dave.

I have to agree, our St. Bernard was the easiest to train out of all of our dogs. He is a certified Therapy Dog and loves to go to Nursing Homes and the Children's hospital to visit.

Here's a pic of our Newfie since he is not in our Avatar. Now we need to take a new family photo.

At first, I just noticed he was getting longer. Then I woke up one day and could of swore he got a few inches taller. He doesn't have to put his feet up to get to the other dogs drinking bowls anymore. My little baby is growing up. :'(

Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: Anyone Here GeoCache
« on: June 08, 2006, 07:04:55 pm »
We love to take the dogs geocaching. I know how you feel about the getting in shape though. I pant more than our St. Bernard Harley does. Here's some pics of Harley geocaching. We went with some friend of ours and there kids.

As you can see, Harley is not much for the helping find treasure, but more the relax and take in the view kind of dog.

I've heard of people getting rid of their Pyrs because they won't listen, bark alot, shed enormously, & dig holes....HHHEE EEEEEELLLLLLLL LLLLLLLOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOO!!!!...Here is reason to RESEARCH YOUR BREED BEFORE YOU BUY, ADOPT, RESCUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know how you feel. I used to foster for our local Great Pyrenees rescue and time after time we would hear "He got too big," or "he sheds too much". I would always ask, "You know you got a Pyr right". Grrrrrrrr. People.
