I feel your pain.  So far the count is (2) pairs of glasses for Austin (1) for Zoey. Very expensive chew toys!

Zoey grooms obsessively. Or maybe her motherly instincts are just coming to full bloom. For instance Two women with a toddler stopped us at the park this morning. It turns out that they are Hungarian and were admiring my Vizsla pair.   We are chatting and admiring Austin's beautiful color and i realize that we have not been paying much attention to Zoey. What is she doing!!?  Zoey decided that the boy was in need of a grooming and had been cleanning him from his sticky hands to the top of his head!! ;D  Now they want to be on my future puppy list.

OMG after hearing you listsI just have to share Austins BooBoo list here:
1. Chipped his shoulder running like a maniac through the apartment.
2 Allergic reaction to... something. Big welts all over his bodyand then had a reaction to the Benadryl- Christmas eve 9:00PM
3. Ate the entire contents of my wallet.  He passed all of it I think! Three dollar bills actually came out intact and I saved them (after much cleaning) to tip my dog walker! LOL
4. Ran into a fish tank at our friends beach house. Blood everywhere!  5 Stitches Holiday weekend!
5. Swollen toe webbing.
6.  Surgery to remove a mole on his eyelid. Thank GD it was non-cancerous, I combined it with and OFA test teeth cleaning and a identification chip. Im still paying the bill for that one.
7. More swollen digits.

BTW The Benadryl was supposed to make him very drowsy but instead he became seriously agitated. He had a counter-indicated reaction because he was so young.

He's putting me in the poorhouse but I love him. ;D but because of Mister A, we have found the best Vet ever.

Great Pyrenees Discussions / Re: Eating Sticks
« on: July 04, 2005, 10:26:06 am »
When Zoey was about 4 months old she would gather a stick or two up during our park walk and trot around with it until we got home. It was very cute.  One day one of these sticks broke off in her mouth and got lodged between her windpipe and the upper palate of her mouth. I reached in her mouth but was unable to get the thing loose!! THis happened right outside the front door of our building. She was thrashing and snapping for air. Lucky for us my partner was home (a very calm and deliberate person) and was able to carefully reach in and yank out the stick about 2 inches long.

Two seconds later Zoey was happily chewing on a bully stick! ;) but I have not let her pick up a stick from a tree since then!

OK ok  I have a problem... I want to take Zoey to the dog run with Austin but  I'm concerned about her getting knocked-up!  So I've looked on-line and have seen a number of really hideous looking pants for the bitch in season but I cant bring myself to spend $30 on dog granny panties!  ;D  Does anyone else put these on their dogs? and what size do I get!

I always check in from work. ;) When I couldnt get on the site I just assumed that the office IT snoop had blocked the site. Damn him! I missed hangin' out with the big dogs! When I'm home, Zoey likes to snuggle on my lap while  I'm at the computer. That's 50lbs of snuggle. I can barely reach the keyboard with her on top of me. I am soooo relieved that BPO is back on....and the pups are napping.

We really really wanted a Subaru forrester. But when it came down to $$$$$ I got a great deal on a Honda CRV and in the back of the 2004 they designed it to be a bigger boxier shape. Personally, I think they did it just to fit two big dog crates. The bottom of the back area is also intended to be used as a picnic (...grooming) table. Mileage by the way, has been pretty good!

These are my two when they were pups.  Not that long ago, but they grow soooo fast!
