 ;D ;D ;D ;D

The 21 Rules Of Halloween!

1. When it appears that you have killed the monster, NEVER check to see
if it's really dead.

2. Never read a book of demon summoning aloud, even as a joke.

3. Do not search the basement, especially if the power has gone out.

4. If your children speak to you in Latin or any other language which
they should not know, shoot them immediately. It will save you a lot of
grief in the long run. However, it will probably take several rounds to
kill them, so be prepared. This also applies to kids who speak with
somebody else's voice.

5. When you have the benefit of numbers, NEVER pair off and go alone.

6. As a general rule, don't solve puzzles that open portals to h*ll.

7. Never stand in, on, or above a grave, tomb, or crypt. This would
apply to any other house of the dead as well.

8. If you're searching for something which caused a loud noise and find
out that it's just the cat, GET THE h*ll OUT!

9. If appliances start operating by themselves, do not check for short
circuits; just get out.

10. Do not take ANYTHING from the dead.

11. If you find a town which looks deserted, there's probably a good
reason for it. Don't stop and look around.

12. Don't fool with recombinant DNA technology unless you're sure you
know what you're doing.

13. If you're running from the monster, expect to trip or fall down at
east twice, more if you are female. Also note that, despite the fact
that you are running and the monster is merely shambling along, it's
still moving fast enough to catch up with you.

14. If your companions suddenly begin to exhibit uncharacterist ic
behavior such as hissing, fascination for blood, glowing eyes,
increasing hairiness, and so on, kill them immediately.

15. Stay away from certain geographical locations, some of which are
listed here: Amityville, Elm Street, Transylvania, anywhere in Texas
where chainsaws are sold, the Bermuda Triangle, or any small town in Maine.

16. If your car runs out of gas at night on a lonely road, do not go to
he nearby deserted-looking house to phone for help. If you think that it
is strange you ran out of gas because you thought you had most of a
tank, shoot yourself instead. You are going to die anyway, and most
likely be eaten.

17. Beware of strangers bearing tools. For example: chainsaws, staple
guns, hedge trimmers, electric carving knives, combines, lawnmowers,
butane torches, soldering irons, band saws, or any devices made from
deceased companions.

18. If you find that your house is built upon a cemetery, now is the
time to move in with the in-laws. This also applies to houses that had
previous inhabitants who went mad or committed suicide or died in some
horrible fashion, or had inhabitants who performed satanic practices.

19. Dress appropriately. When investigating a noise downstairs in an old
house, women should not wear a flimsy negligee. And carry a flashlight,
not a candle.

20. Do not mention the names of demons around open flames, as these can
flare suddenly. Be especially careful of fireplaces in this regard.

21. Do not go looking for witches in the Maryland countryside

Congradulation s Jamie! Hopefully that good mojo will come my way now...I have an interview in 2 hours that I'm really hoping I do well at.

Congrats again!!!

If there wasn't a clear malformation, clear reason for the seizures, it will probably be 'idiopathic epilepsy'.  That's the thing with idiopathic epilepsy...the re's never a 'for sure' reason.  I think it's actually good that there isn't a brain malformation, etc.  It could be just an 'electrical' thing that she may outgrow with time.  Medications are so good now and she's SO young.  I think there's a lot of reason for hope!!  I'm counting on it!

That's it in a nutshell! As Jon's Doc put it...(summarizing)

"Think of the brain as a car's engine. Right now, the sparkplugs aren't right. As we grow, our brain grows as well and that forces the "wiring" to change as well. With luck (and he explained that this truly happens with most cases of pediactric epilipsy) they will outgrow the seizures as the hormones and chemicals change in the brain.

We're all pulling for you and Iz right now. Be sure to keep us updated.

Oh, poor sweetheart. Hope she gets better soon!

Found this on Craigslist. Someone please say they can take in theis absolutely gorgeous boy. I cannot, there's no way my three meatheads would go for yet another male, but I'm hoping someone out there is looking for a sweetheart. Besides how can you say no to this face????

This is very hard for me to do. Cotton has become a huge part of my family, but due to unfortunate events, I am no longer able to keep him. He is a very beautiful and loving dog and needs a lot of attention. He LOVES to be brushed and go for walks and considers himself at times a lap dog, although he is very large. I rescued him from the shelter and his previous owners were abusive. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and no longer have the ability to care for him as much as I would like because my medical bills are SO expensive. I just dont have it in me to be able to take him for the walks which he loves and play with him like I did when I rescued him. He is 4 years old, micro chipped, licensed, neutered, and up to date on rabies and vaccinations. He has no problems with kids, (mine are 8, 7 & 4), other dogs or cats (I have 3). He is extremely mellow until you get the leash out for a walk, then he jumps around like a little kid. He absolutely has to be indoor and outdoor. I will NOT allow him to go to an outdoor home only. He sleeps right next to my bed on the floor and does not ever leave my side, so he needs a new owner that has plenty of time for him as well as plenty of love. He does not like loud noises, even though he loves my children, but he does not like yelling. He cowers and it is very sad.
He is the best dog I have ever had and am distraught that I have to find him a new home. I will have to approve your home and you must be able to keep in contact with me regarding his well being. Also, if you adopt him and decide not to keep him, I will require that you allow him to come back to me as I will find him another home and you will be refunded the rehoming fee.
I am asking a $67 rehoming fee to cover the vaccinations, rabies, and adoption fees and to be sure that you are serious about him. The fee is negotiable to the right family.
Please either email me at jennwooster@yahoo.com or call me at (360) 915-6578 or my cell phone (360) 888-0509 to schedule a time for you to meet him.

Dog saves owner from fire, dies trying to rescue cat
POSTED: 1:53 a.m. EDT, October 18, 2006
Adjust font size:
ELKHART LAKE, Wisconsin (AP) -- After a disabled woman's cat started a house fire, her specially trained dog came to the rescue, then died trying unsuccessfully to rescue the cat.

Jamie Hanson said her 13-year-old dog Jesse brought her artificial leg and a phone she used to call 911.

"She got me outside and then she heard the cat upstairs and she went up there to get the cat, and she wouldn't come back to me," Hanson, 49, said at a news conference Monday at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, where she was being treated for her injuries.

She received third-degree arm burns in the fire Sunday night at her home in Rhine, south of Elkhart Lake. Both pets died.

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Re: HELP! What would cause this?
« on: October 18, 2006, 04:37:01 am »
I was going to ask the same thing...is she "puking" it up?

This will sound odd, but when Apollo was a puppy, he would *spit8 water at us. He thought it was a game. Apparently, my children laughed when he did it by accident, so he thought it was a good thing to do. Great dinner party trick... NOT!

It took a while to break the habit, but we did. It could be that like most of our Big Paws, she isn't swallowing that last mouthful, and as a consequence, it sloshes out.

43
Well, I live in Washington State, about 30 minutes outside of Seattle. If you decide to fly him/her into Seattle, I could possibly drive the pup from there to Blaine. (Just need to know dates to confirm) If you decide to transport via car, let me know if there's a leg in Washington that needs to be filled.

44
Welcome to the mayhem! Your pups are just adorable, and plenty big enough!

My name is Leah, I'm from Washington State and I'm owned by "the thundering herd", Zeus, a 3 year old heinz 57, Apollo, a 3 year old St. Bernard mix (we guess, pound-puppy) and Onyx, my *almost 2* year old Newfoundland. Oh darn, almost forgot Stitch, our cat-who-is-sure-he's-a-dog.

Again, welcome.
