my boyfriend was on Amitryptyline for awhile after a brain injury.  It worked WONDERS!!!, but it also made him tooo sleepy to get up in the morning and drive safely to work, so he switched to a different drug.  It isn't really an anti depresent, more of an anti psychotic, helping to smooth out the up and down swings.

my pup had a similar issue before we got him from the rescue.... their vet attributed it to a parasite of some sort.  He is 100% over it now, but apparently he crawled everywhere he went, or went nowhere at all for awhile.

Food Discussion & Information / Re: Walking while eating
« on: September 06, 2005, 03:30:04 pm »
she would grab a mouthful of food, walk away, spit out the mouthful and eat them off the floor.

Shakes does exactly this.  At first we thoguht it was because his food was in the kitchen and we were in the living room, but he continued to do it even when we moved the food into the living room.  So then we thoguht maybe it was because he didn't like his raised food dish, so we put in on the floor, but no change.  He finally stoped this week, but only after his e-collar came off, AND we put the food back in the kitchen, AND back up on the raised stand..... what a goof ball.

Am I seeing things?  Do his ears stand up like that on his own, or is he moving around to where they LOOK like they are standing up?

I'm so confused.   ???

But he looks great.  What a cutie pie!!

they do that all on his own, no cropping no moving.  they are huge, and i think defy the laws of physics.....

now that hte cone has been off for a few hours they are starting to flop over more, but the minute there is an nusual noise at least one pops right back up... it is cute.

The cone didnt really fit over the ears... and they didnt really have a cone long enough eather that didnt drag on the ground.  he is so long and skinny that when he really tried he could get to his back paw even with the cone.....

i say it is a great idea as long as they dont actually see you doing it.  They can't kick you out, and they are already being mean to you.

Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: Your Gas Prices

while hybrids might not be THE answer, i think they are part of the solution.  The 3 that do get great gas millage are a really great option for those of us that don't need big cars (as is the mini cooper 36 mpg, but i digress).  I also think that the technology will come around for the bigger guys eventually.... ..
