General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / a few random pictures, and updates

Hi everyone. sorry ive been away. been so busy. well, i think im busy. Ok. well, i've been LAZY. we've been getting alot of snow, off and on again the last two weeks, and halloween is my fav time of year, so SHOPPING SHOPPING SHOPPING... Also, nightmare before christmas 3d is in theaters, so i've been so busy planning to see that... holy!  haha
Anyway, I did post and tell you i found a bullie pup... its a white girl, but we havent recived new pics... we have choice white female, and there are two white girls in the litter. so   before we decide i have to look them both over carefully. because i do plan to show this one, like i did with zero, but im hoping this one does better than zero (behaves better). i will update as soon as i get pics.
Now, on to some pictures...
I dont really know what was up with memphis today, but he kept giving me a pouty face... here's the pic


And, as i said, it has been snowing. we dont really have alot of snow, but enough to be on the ground... here's zero outside playing in the snow...

i think we may have found her... IF, that is, there is a show quality pup in this litter. zeros breeder just had a litter of 5, two white females, a white male and two brindle n white males... now, if these females look promising... we may have ourselves a new addition.. will keep u posted. :)

Doberman Discussions / Got A Friend Lookin for a dobie

My friend is a little upset right now, and turned to me... he was talking with a breeder for about a year and a half now, and he had sent her a deposit on a red male doberman pup... WELL, turns out she sold it to someone else. so, hes really upset and asked me to help him find a decent breeder. we're in canada, so maybe if you know some good canadian breeders? Or closer to the border, like, Michigan? Please email me with some details. hes looking for red male with tail docked and ears done... so a breeder who does it ;) thanks tons.

Groans, Gripes, Brags & Boasts / Animal Control in our area is terrible

them animal control officers are b******s... This is the 2nd time i had to confront them about one of my dogs... first time was zeussy, and how he was skinny. Someone complained that he wasnt being taken care of, not being fed or whatver. HA stupid SPCA comes in see's two full bowls of food, like 3 empty bags and a full bag of food, and says shes going to check up. SHE DIDNT. stupid spca.
today- OF COURSE i know its an automatic fine, getting caught leaving your dog tied unattended... which i did, for like 5 seconds... outside of the post office. i come out, to see Garett (animal conrol officer) writing up some crap ticket. i come out and he asks me about zero. what his age is, tag number, breed... BREED! HES A D**N BULL TERRIER. so, i get a "slap on the wrist" for having zero tied (no fine woo hoo)... and he tells me that considering his breed he SHOULD give me a fine but hasnt had a complaint so... i said "because of his breed...?" He says "bull terriers are banned' to which i reply "No, they're not" He says "DONT ARGUE WITH ME" i said "According to Bull terrier club of canada, they are not banned" he said in a rude voice "they dont cover our area" wtf ??? im so not impressd. so, we're going to figure this out somehow. zeros great, everyone in town loves him :) and now we will have to carry our papers everywhere stating Bullies ARE NOT BANNED... b******d... anyways, im done ranting...

ok. so we found out zeros a genious. Well, ok. not a genious. but, he IS addicted to his Bad Cuz toy, and if we hide it. he gets finds it. if you check out this video, u can see him thinking of a way to get his ball out from UNDER the garbage can... Very smart boy

I had to post and let her and everyone else know that the live africa cam is back up and running... everyone MUST check it out. Moni got me addicted to it, and it went out for spring/summer months, which made me go nuts. its back on woooo

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Updates

Well, i've been lurking a bit, havent had much time to talk... Unfortunately. .. but, things may be back to normal.
Our foster, Dancer has gone to a new home, Meow's kittens are all litter box trained, and eating canned and dry foods!! they will be leaving in about a weeks time. boy have they grown.
Also, theres a local dog show this week, but unfortunately. i was stupid and didnt enter on time, so i didnt get in... but i checked it out, lots and lots of nice dogs. the dobermans were beautiful. there was the most gorgeous Mastiff. Two dane puppies, both fawn, ears taped, they were about 12 weeks, along side more danes a brindle and a fawn adult. and there was a vizla, wiemeraner, omg, just so many nice dogs. EVEN a chinese crested  (which i was excited about). heres some pics from the show, and a pic of my zero showing off what he would look like IF he was at the show, so handsome.

Treatment & Preventative Meds / Anyone Know Sebolux Shampoo?

one of my friends mums asked me about her golden dog,  he has been losing hair and getting little sores, so she tried him on Sebolux shampoo, and it seems to be getting worse? the dogs nipples are swelling... has anyone used this or heard any negitive things about it? i've never heard it

Our girl bullie, tribute, who unfortunately couldnt stay homed with us, but is still co-owned by me, was shown this weekend, by her breeder in New Brunswick... the first two shows were a normal day, she won BoB (being the only bullie) and no groups... today, she placed a group 2nd!!!!! she showed against 14 other terriers... a bedlington placing group 1st...  meaning, our girl got her 4 point major! WOOOO. so excited. will post show pic once i get it :)

We got our foster today, her name is Dancer, shes a 9 y/o min pin... sorry the pic isnt the greatest, my batteries in my digi died, so i had to use web cam LOL u get the idea - shes TINY Compared to memphis (160lbs dane) lol

Helpful Groups & Dogs in Need / May Consider Fostering...

My boyfriend, darcy, works in a vet clinic. and i guess a local pet rescue (Happy Paws) is looking for a foster home for one of their dogs... It is not a Big Paw, not even close. its a min pin. now, its a 9 year old, spayed female. Red in color... Darcy asked me if we could foster it for a while... i know i would probably turn into a foster failure if it was a breed that wasnt a min pin- LOL, nothing against min pins, but im not too into them, personally. CUTE to look at, but not my kind of dog...
What i think, is it would be a great experiance for Zero and Memphis to have this small dog in our home, so they can get used to it... As in a while, we plan to have a chinese crested... :D Any info or thoughts on this would be great...
