My grandma has got to rehome her dog. She can not keep this dog any longer. I have 4 and can not help. and everyone else in the family has a dog (or too many cats) of their own. the dog is about 5 years old, Black with white chest (and the white has spots) i know for a fact it is Doberman X Dalmatian, but it looks sort of like a whippet. She is NOT spayed (has not been bred either), has not had any shots. The dog should be in a home with someone who is VERY Firm, preferably no young kids. The dog has bit 3 times (protecting the yard) never breaking the skin. My grandma is very old and can not control this dog. Nobody else who is living with her will help either (my uncle or teen cousins). She is on her own with this. and needs a home asap. I can try to get a picture. anyone knows of anybody, we can find a way to transport her...

thanks tons!

Well, Friday, darcy and i took the long drive to Welland, for the bull terrier show on Saturday. Since we got there way early, we visited with Liz at work for a bit, went to see Iron Man, and visited with Liz more more more! she Brought her GORGEOUS Kabuki to visit with us. and Oh My God- i am in love more than ever!  the next day, was the BT show. oh wow. i was in heaven- so many bullies. it was great. lots of great people too.  after the show, we, again, met up with Liz (and her hubby, Jamie), we went out to M.T. Bellies for supper, and we all  coaxed Jamie into buying the belly burster (or something like that). its a burger with like 2lbs of Hamburger meat, 1/2lb bacon, 1/4lbs cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles. and a HUGE side of fries. the thing is, they time you 1hr to finish EVERYTHING on your plate, by yourself. if you do it, the burger is free. if not its a 35$ plate of food... OUCH. now why the heck we'd get him to order a 35$  burger, to try to finish, when he can order a 10$ normal burger and it only be 10$... No Clue! but he did it, and --- HE ATE IT ALL. got a free shirt, which is uggo!!!! then we drove around cause jamie made us late for a movie we were going to go see- so we drove around for a while... went back to our hotel, and they brought Kabuki again. man oh man do i love that little kitty.. the next day (sunday) we went to the all breed show. and didnt really stay cause we had to get going. i took a few pix  from the working group. thats it. had a 7hr drive a head of us... ok. enough of the chatting. heres some pix...

i love the way she is sitting/sleeping

Groans, Gripes, Brags & Boasts / Jigsaw Brag!!!
« on: March 29, 2008, 06:51:26 pm »
We had a dog show this weekend, a terrier specialty. Jigsaw was the only bull terrier there, well, thats a lie, there was a mini bull terrier also showing. LOL But jigsaw being only standard, she took Best of breed 4 times. and for one Best of Breed, since it was a terrier specialty, she got a nice big ribbon for the BOB win! Today, we go in for BOB and the judge was wonderful! she opened jigsaws mouth and says "Yes! Finally, a bull terrier with a good mouth" then later she asks her age. i told her about 19 months. she handed me my BOB ribbon. and we waited for Group...in group, she looked at jigsaw alot... And calling the winners- she called out at the end of the line- Scottish Terrier... Irish Terrier, Lakeland Terrier... THEN she calls out the bull terrier... and thats group. 1-2-3-4!!! Jigsaw made her first ever Group win today!!! Group 4th! i was so excited. the judge talked to me later saying how she really likes jigsaws look, how she isnt too large and how her mouth is correct- then she went on about how too many people make excuses for their bullies mouths being off. So anyways, we got our photo... here it is.

Games & Jokes / This Is A Public Service Announcement - LoL
« on: March 24, 2008, 10:54:59 am »
In a press release today, the National Institute of Health has announced the discovery of a potentially dangerous substance in the hair of dogs.

This substance, called "amo-bacter canis" has been linked with the following symptoms, especially in female humans:

Reluctance to cook
Reluctance to perform housework
Reluctance to wear anything but jeans or sweats
Reluctance to work except in support of a dog
Physical craving for contact with dogs (may be an addiction)

Beware: If you come in contact with a female human affected by this substance, be prepared to talk about dogs for hours on end.

This has been a Public Service Announcement

Collars, crates, & other cool things / Pop Art type paintings!!
« on: March 17, 2008, 10:52:20 pm »
The other day, Liz sent me a link on kijiji about a lady selling hand painted art. One of the prints she was selling, a bull terrier. I fell in love and contacted her right away. and of course, i bought it. i continued to tell her we have Bull Terriers, she asked to see pics. and i showed her. and she asked if she could paint them. i said sure! she did Jigsaw and sent me a photo in Email, to show and ask if i wanted to buy it. OF COURSE. and she said she is working on one of zero. and that she'd give me a deal if i took both. well, sure im not going to say no to that! today, she sent me two pics she did of my zero.
here are the 3 finished paintings... Waiting to hear on price for all three. ;)

Remembering those no longer with us. / Remembering My Zeussy
« on: February 28, 2008, 06:29:18 am »
Almost 3 years ago (it will be three years on June 14), we lost our first dane, Zeus to bloat...  The weekend before he left us, We actually traveled to a huge dog event in toronto called Woofstock... we met our first online friend, Stephanie, her boyfriend and their gorgeous white deaf dane, Brutis.  They were few who had been touched by Zeussys life, and they know how special of a boy he was...
We got Zeus when i had went to a dane breeder, to check out, and leave a deposit on a puppy (Memphis). She had this dane, he was two years old, and had been bred by her, and sent two two different homes, that didnt work out. she rescued him back from the last home he was in, in an appalling condition... She brought him home, and had him neutered... It was about 2 weeks since his last home, that I met him. and he instantly loved me... it was definately love at first sight. The breeder said he never took a liking to someone like he did to me... and so- yep, he came home with us... 84lbs at 2 years old. we got him up to 120lbs before he left us at just under 4 years old...
Now that you know the story of Zeus, how he left, and how his last weekend with us was...
I checked my PO box today, and had a note saying "parcel" right on! i go get it. its from my friend Steph (that we had met at Woofstock). i came home and opened it.
It was a hand drawn portrait of Zeus... its absolutely stunning... I have taken pics with my digi to share with you all, but these photos definately do not do it justice... Here, is the tribute Steph made of my Zeussy boy... it will be framed and hung up this weekend.

here it is darker so you can see some better details
