I agree there is no profite in any of it. But that is ok I was in it to love the dogs while they were here. But just remember that just because someone will not pay a 100.00 adoption fee don't meen they will not care for the dog. Sometimes people just have enough to get buy and that don't mean that a dog will not fit them and be cared for. In aspect I am consitered dirt poor. I live on a 1000.00 a month and I still have the money to do rescues and take care of my kids and him. Just a thought.

First this web site about GG made me sick. Just the thought of all the dogs that are being miss treated makes me want to cry.

Second Not all rescue groups are bad. The small ones are just people with big hearts with big hearts.  I have done dog rescue for 7 years. I do it out of my home and try to always follow city dog limits. I try my best to get all vet stuff done before the dog is placed in a new home but the ones that need it most are always first in line. I have no funding and do it out of my own pocket. I also do training with the dogs. Some I get have problems with food agression and even other dogs. So some are in my care for a long time. The adoption fee is never ever enough to pay for anything. I have used fosters and yes the fosters do have out of pocket expences, But I do try to give what I can back to them. There is just never enough money to do that. Here is a good example. I had a female rott that came to me at 1 year old no vet records ever. The owners kept her locked in a room all the time. They wanted a guard dog. When I got her she needed shots and heartworm check and lymes test. Plus behavior training to make her liveable in a home. She was here for 2 YEARS before she found her forever home a month ago. That is two years of shot, food, training, lymes treatment, heartguard, toys, bed and her own dog house. I got a 100.00 adoption fee for her.
I could go on but i will not boar you. Just know that not all places care about the money. We care about the dog

Do to the lack of good pet stores here we are making her a coat as self. I do have a pic of her that was sent to me. It is her and her last litter. They are 6 weeks in the pic.

Hello, My name is Maraih. I am 8 months old. I came to my foster moms home becasue I was not being treated very nicely. I am working on potty training, sit, off, and come. (I like to jump) I am very smart and learn quickly. I love attention and to be cuddled. I love playing with ohter dogs. I play with two English Mastiffs. They are my foster Moms puppies. I play better with large dogs that are not agressive. I do ok with cats. I am learning not to chase them. I also like horses. I am looking for a home where I can stay forever and be loved.

Ya I agree. I hate more the people who put a dog down because they don't want it. That is why I don't own more than one. I love dogs to much but I would rather be a stopping point for all dog that really need a home. I can find them a better place that fits them. It saves them from the pound or being put to sleep

I lived in mlps. I liked here better. Smaller town with more space. I can have my dogs and not worry. Sence I don't own a dogs rescue is the best for me. I never kept one for my self in all these years. There are always dogs that need a caring home to go to. I am just the middle point. Plus with a collage education in animal behavor I can do more good in helping other dogs then owning.
Dose that sound bad
