Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: If you had one wish....

Definitely would increase the amount of dogs in my household.  Not as if I donn't have enough already.  4 dogs take a lot of work, especially when they are all house dogs.  Obviously most breeders have numerous dogs, but hte majority of them are kennedl dogs.

If I had one wish, would be to have my log home already built.  We have 13.5 acres of land in NY state that we plan on moving to when we are no longer working.  Not soon enough!!!  The dogs would have plenty of room.

A few pictures taken today 7-23 of the dogs while they were enjoying some freedom and nice weather on in NY.

The fila picture looks a little like my brindle Boerboel.

Wondering if you may be drawing Boerboel portraits.

Here are a few pics of the dogs, Boerboels and Rottie.

All four of my dogs are fed together.  They sit and wait until I say OK and then they go to their bowls and eat.  The puppy is 5 months old and has been doing this since he was 3 months old.  They do not try to eat the other dog's food, unless they leave it in the bowl.  Usually the bowl is empty before any of them walk away.  I have timed them to a couple of minutes, but probably will not do it any longer as they drool.

I can pet them and place my hand in the bowl, take their food away and they have no issues with it.

Rotties a great dogs.  Ozzy is 8.5 years old.  He loves people, kids and other animals, had a cat for a while and they got along great.  When I take my dogs for walks, there are a couple of kids 2 yrs and under that always have to pet them.  The 15 month old sticks his fingers inside the rottie's mouth and he doesn't care.  On the other hand if someone tries to come close to the fence or the car, he goes nuts, he is very protective an territorial.  Once out of the yard and vehicle he is fine.

I had an older rottie that is had to put to sleep a few years ago because of hid hips, hes was 10+, and he was also a great dog.

Bruno the brindle puppy is 5 months old.  I never crate trainied any of my dogs.  I put a huge box next to the bed and lay my arm in it initially.  They usually lay on my hand and fall asleep.  They did get me up every few hours initially.  I would pick them up and carry them down the stairs and outside to make sure that they didn't have any accidents in the house, of course they always had a few accidents.   He has not had any accidents since he was 3.5 months old.  When he did it was becasue he was playing with the larger dogs and I didn't get to him in time to get him out.  Now he holds for at least 5 to 6 hours a night and I get a little more sleep.  It does get better.

Just got rid of my 99 Jeep Cherokee since the four dogs didn't fit.  Traded it in for a 2005 Pontiac Montana minivan.  Have the two seats in the front for the wife and me.  Took all 4 seats out the back and the dogs have plenty of room.  We also have a 97 Saturn and a 98 Pontiac Firebird(my sports car) with approx 12000 miles, arrest me red as my buddy calls it.  He is a deputy.

AC/DC definitely a good band.  I prefer speed metal for speeding.

Female boerboel always sleeps on the bed.  The rottie on the floor because he gets too hot.  The male boerboel on the bed in the winter.  The puppy for now has a coolaroo bed next to bed or in my lap.
