Cane Corso Discussions & Pictures / Wrong Info for the Cane Corso
« on: June 01, 2005, 12:13:15 am »
Hello I checked out my breed on the new feature here and I just wanted to say that there is wrong info posted about the color and orgin. Size is off as well according to the breed standard. I just thought you might want to get that corrected.

Also feel free to use this image for the cane corso if you wish.

That man is AWESOME! And anyone that says otherwise is NUTS! I have heard a bit of controversy over this man in my dog community of bully and molosser breeds.

All I can say if pffuueewwiiee! He is awesome, any one that can get a dog to listen that quickly and with no real difficulties is truly a Dog Man. The fact that he has all those dogs living in the same place and feeds them one at a time should be enough proof!

Anyhow yes we love Mr. Caesar Milian in our home, and plan to meet him one day soon.

Long story, to make it short and simple he didnt take to kindly to me not paying 101% of my attention all the time to him and he was becoming very depressed/sad, destructive, and only seemed to shred my husbands things, lol. He was not happy either that we had 2 children back to back i suppose as he just became more and more grumpy, me being a first time new mother i was paranoid to say the least and it broke my heart to let him stay in texas when we moved to ohio.  :(

I was not a happy camper, well needless to say on our last progress report of his situation where he is now it was a very depressing one for me, my baby lives out side in mud tied to a tree. We have tons of work ahead of us, lol or should i say i have tons of work ahead of me with getting him situated back with his rightful family again.  I am much less paranoid now than i used to be and not only that we are getting a master trainer to assist us in proper methods for his temperament type.

Bronx looks sweet, but boy is he a hard hard tempered dog. He is very protective and donest seem to like to share me much. A brief history on bronx and I. I got him for my 19th bday present all for me after researching the breed for 6 years i decided it was time. He traveled the USA with me being my companion and protector for about 2 straight years. One day my michael(my husband) and I came back into contact after an off and on friendship and well needless to say we were married and had children rather quickly and Bronx didnt adjust to the change of him not being by my side at all times. He made room for my husband and kids, but he was so annoying i was sad for him. I did what was best for my children at the time, and it tore my heart up to watch him stay behind. Anyway, last report of his updated pics were horrible and made me so furious i wanted to go that day and pick him up. So this month he is coming home, and we will have tons and i do mean tons of rehab to do with him. But my grey boy is worth every second of my time. I miss him deeply.

he is considered a slate grey, most common in america as blue, but in italy he is  Slate Grey. Thanks He is actually in texas right now away from me, and has been for a while, but he is coming HOME THANK GOD sometime this month, so i will have more recent photos to share of him then!!!!

For folks living in America a much more cost efficient version of the barf diet is all natural dry kibble. No fat spray ons, no old rotting ingredients. Its all natural and baked over 2 times for easy digestability.

The only dry food bronx would touch without any extra treats(gravy, rice, meat) added to it and its all human grade ingredients. http://www.QualityDogFood.com

The Cane Corso is not recog. by akc main, but they are in the akc-fss division. Personally i did not want them to be recognized for fear of even more bad breeders and owners. Their origin is Italy, they are fci/enci papered, there is a club here in usa that is for the cane corso in america. this breed as im sure most others has tons of political mumbo jumbo around it, americans for the most part breed the workability out of the dog and make them huge huge huge, where the country of orgin calls for a max standard for males at 110 pounds and femals 96 or so pounds. American bred Corso can be found at 160-170 and even sometimes more than that. :-[ It boils down to personal preference i suppose as i prefer smaller more agile type fitting closer to the overall italian standard.(which after all is their country of orgin)

http://www.corsoluv.com is my site and has photos of both fci(italian) type and iccfamerican) type corsi. I love the breed and only try to help in every way possible.  ;D

http://www.canecorsoitaliano.com/ here is also a ton more info from the parent club in italy!
