GOT MILKBONES?

When I worked at the Animal Hospital we saw many severe reactions to Hartz flea drops on cats.Sometimes washing it off with dish liquid would be all that was needed other times they also needed supportive care, I am surprised it took them so long to take it off the market.

Dozer is getting one. I'll see how he does with it.

What a cutie! Labs usually like the water. She could also have some Hound in her. Hounds are very vocal. Dozer talks and moans all the time. I can also see where there could be some Rhodesian Ridgeback. It doesn't really matter what breed she is. She looks like a Sweetheart to me.

Mixed Breed Discussion / Re: Oasis can't hear anymore :-(

It seems like their hearing is the first thing to falter. When my older dogs lost their hearing I started using some hand signals so I could still communicate. You can teach an old dog new things. Decide what signals mean what and be consistant. Also teach anyone else in the family the hand signals and what they mean. Keep it simple. They can still feel vibration, so to get their attention I would stomp the floor. My dogs were around for for 3 or 4 more years, so it feels good to still communicate.

They are beautiful and I would love to have them, but I know my limitations. 5 fur kids is plenty right now. Hubby would also have a stroke if I got them.

Here is my dog mobile.....   A 98 Explorer. I love the dark tinted windows in the back, you can't see all the nose prints from the outside  ;D  I can fit all 5 fur kids in it if I need to.

As Siberexpress said 4 of ours sleep in their crates. I tell them go to your room and they run and jump in their crates. Griz shakes like a leaf when you make her go in a crate.

The music to make me dance is old but great, such as Aretha Franklin's Respect  or Psychedelic Shack by the Temptations.
Music by AC/DC makes me drive fast.  ;D
In general I listen to Classic Rock.

I have worn a bunch of hats in my working career. I worked in a factory doing quality control for 8 years. Then I moved to Tn and started working for my vet in the kennel and worked up to manager of the hospital. I did that for 15 years. Then I went into repossessing cars for 1 year. Now I am a supervisor in customer service for a bank. Of all the jobs I enjoyed working in the animal hospital the best but the benefits like health insurance and a retirement plan were not there.

Thanks for the ideas. :)
When the smoke detector goes off the hubby consoles the dogs by saying "It's OK Mommy is cooking again" ::)
