I know it is so sad. Not sure if going to the media will help though. By his rottie being 7.5 years he may have a hard time finding someone to foster.  I am trying to get more info about the dog and will post more info when I get it. Just thought that I would post and try to get some one from this site to foster. Everyone is so great on this site.

Hey Guys

I was checking another web site that I belong to and saw a posting that a soldier is being deployed to Afganastan (spelling?) on August 25th and is trying to find a temporary home or it may be permenant for his 7.5 year old rottie male(neutered). He will be gone for 15 months. At this time his mother is watching the dog but can't keep him. The soldier lives in the St Louis area.  Do you think we can help this guy out. My hubby says no more dogs >:( or I would try to give him a home.
Let me know if anyone can help.

Our St Bernard recently passed.  :-[ I remember Clyde and Tyler playing in the sand box together. Tyler would try to dig a road with his Tonka trucks and Clyde would be right next to him digging away with his paws going 50 miles an hour with his butt in the air. Later it was the two of them swimming in the pool together. ;D. When it would storm Clyde was scared and would pant until ty would take him into his room and sing songs to him. Clyde was the best

I have to say that this is the BEST site I have ever belonged to!!!!Everyone is GREAT!! I use to visit a site that condemed (spell?) me for rescuing Gretchen at 4 weeks. A woman basically said I was lying when I explained that her mother was hit by a car and killed. She was more concerned that I got her from a BYB than the truth. All I can say is you all are very nice and do not make me afraid to post anything. Other sites seem to put other members down for not owning a champion dog. A GREAT BIG thanks for letting me join.. Some days she is soooo naughty, and if I get onto her she rolls those baby eyes. Honest to goodness she rolls her eyes like my son does.

Gretchen is just great. I have had a lot of dogs but she seems to be the smartest I've owned for as young as she is. For some reason she like to lick feet. LOL She was born 04/07/05. She will sit, fetch and walk on lead just fine. Pig ears are her favorite chew toy. Have tried the mylar bones but she didn't like them. The only no no she has done is chewed the cell phone charger cord in to.

I currently have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a rabbit. Also the farm animals. My sons Chris and Tyler have always had dogs and various other pets. Husband says if it doesn't eat and s--t I don't want any part of it. LOL.. Tyler is still at home he is 10 years old. Chris is away in college( Nebraska Corn Husker). First thing Chris did when he got settled in a house was adopt a black Lab.
