Thanks for the 'heads up' on female Pyr aggression. Wasn't aware. And, yes Newfs do get along with Driftwood, as long as they behave themselves.
This is an impartial observation, and maybe a new stream for BPO, but I've observed that most men have female dogs, and most women have males. Any insights?

Tulsa is a neutered female rescue. Her best friend was a male Newfoundland who had to be put down in early July. She misses the big boy. I'm looking for a mellow female that Tulsa can guide to maturity. She is very Alpha, and is not intimidated by large size. She is, however, very playful, and suprisingly gentle with young dogs.
I know the demands of a large dog, and have the time and resources to meet those demands.

Leave the doors unlocked, and the car running, a sign on the window that says "STEAL ME! I DARE YOU!" Your dogs will be returned, your car will be cleaner than when you left it, and your babies won't have to be fed!

I had a problem resizing pics also.
I now open my file and e-mail a pic to myself. A dialogue box opens in the upper left of my screen and asks if I want to resize for e-mail, I select YES. Then send it to myself. When I receive the pic, I click on it and then 'save as', then I can name it, and save it in "My Pictures". Then you can select it and send to whoever.
It seems complicated, but after you do it a few times, you become adept.
I would think there would be an easier way, but I haven't found it yet.
Hope this helps, as for dial up, well...a carpenter is only as good as his tools, but a tool doesn't define a carpenter.
You have beautiful dogs, and a beautiful daughter.
Thunder is a WONDER!
I'm looking at GP's for a companion to Tulsa, and a big, fluffy furball, to have fun with!
Hope this helps.

It was Christmas time and many of my neighbors would decorate their yards. One in particular had a nativity scene, 3 Wise men, baby Jesus in a manger, Camels, Sheep, and they were all animated! Tulsa went ballistic, barking, growling, bristling, she leaped and grabbed the manger and  tried to drag it out! I think she was trying to save the baby.
Garden Gnomes get a wide berth, she doesn't want to have anything to do with them, but snowmen get a body slam!

What a GREAT love story!
I found Tulsa on Petfinders also. Didn't want a big dog, or small dog, the ad said she was 'medium'. I called the shelter and they assured me she would make me happy. So I drove from Fresno to Amador County, about 160 miles.
When I saw her, I was in awe, when she saw me, she went NUTZ!
It was love at first sight!
Although she was bigger than I had been told, I didn't care!
We talked, walked, played in the rain, and I brought her home with me.
Her head was on my hand, her eyes were always on my face as we made the journey home.
That was two and a half years ago.
She is lying at my feet right now, looking at me with her soulful, amber eyes, trusting, protecting, knowing that she made the right decision.

I wish I had a Video Camera when Tulsa starts goofing around with the buckets at the dog park.

I have found that the dog owners have a more difficult time letting their dogs be 'dogs'.
There is a pecking order that animals, and people, have a tendency to follow.
Those that are obnoxious are shunned, those with personalities, are noticed, those with personalities and a sense of style, are remembered.
Our dogs learn from us, thrive from our attention to them, and strangely, take on our personality traits.
We live through our companions, be they canine or human.
At our dog park everybody remembers the name of the dog, not the owner.
We are protective, vigilant about their treatment of others, and know when to take our dog away.
After all, we have bad days, so do our dogs!
The bottom line is, are they having fun?
