Patience.....y ou have about 3 weeks to live through.  She will be fine.....it's just the other beasties that might hang out.  We have a serious leash law in this town and we don't get stray dogs running around, but recently my female scottie was in heat and my male Kuvasz was driving us crazy.    She gets spayed soon.  My scottie is not messy, but I suppose a bigger gal might be.  good luck

Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: Prayers for my birdie!

I own two cockatoos myself and have had many friends in the "birdie business" and have seen miracles happen.  Trust me....it's not over til the birdie stops singing!!  My prayers are with the little guy....and believe me....prayers have been some of the miracles I have seen with those birdies!!  I had a little birdie in my hands belly side up and head hanging and prayers are only thing that could have saved that little bird....but it did and she went on to live 2 more years!!!!

I recently acquired Photoshop and I think I am ready......... let's do it!!!
By the way, I was able to get Photoshop for under 20.00........t hrough EBay....for those of you who are dying to have it and can't afford it.  It was the complete Photoshop with codes, etc.  I was also able to get complete instruction for Photoshop, too, for under 20.00 also...same place.  Came promptly and completely...r uns great...no problems!!! My sister got it from the same place also.  I couldn't afford the prices they were asking for it and I saw this and figured for that amount of money I could afford to take the chance.

Well.....alrea dy used the Natures miracle so maybe I am already on the right track....I did get pretty dramatic as we caught him in the act....he was pretty upset about being yelled at and dragged outside...so far he hasn't done it again today.....we shall see.....we will neuter if necessary, but I would have to hate this make the breeding decision for us.  Patience...rig ht?

The problem with Mike is that he is never really hungry.  Sometimes he turns down breakfast.   He does get alot of big time exercise almost every day.  That maybe why he is on the lean side.  We are going to get a stool sample just to be sure.  His stools are looking good.  I don't allow Mike to graze all day......If he doesn't eat it right away we take it away.  K2 would scarf up any food he doesn't eat.....she just waits in the shadows til he walks away.   She would eat all 4cups of food if allowed and she is only a 18 lb. scotty.  Anyway....we will check into it.  I did start adding more to his food, but he just didn't eat the amount that I had added.

Mike is weighing in at 89 lbs and is 28" at the shoulder.  How does that compare?  He had been turning down breakfast until this morning and he skarfed it right up.  He eats about 7 cups of dry a day.

I just got back from out of town...visitin g son in Iowa with my grandbaby.  Anyway, just got back a little while ago....poor Mikey was sooooooooooo excited to see me.  He REALLY looks thin to me.....partial ly because he blew that beautiful coat and looks a little ratty...ya know what I mean?  I almost hope for cooler weather so they can get their coats back, but I have to admit the warmer temps are nice when it comes to heating the house.  I think I will get Mike in for stool check just to be sure.  He is very lean and very, very muscular.  But, I didn't notice that someone threw up while I was gone and mike's reaction makes me think it was him.  I didn't notice anything in his kennel.  Georde has been here, but both Dan and I were gone.  Wedding pics?  I got them back and I am working on them.....I got some really nice ones of the pups....K2 disappears on film.  I just bought Photoshop and I am learning how to use it so I can doctor these pics....I wasn't too happy with them, but I have plenty to work with.........s o..........you will be getting pics shortly!!!!

Deena...help us out here.  I am thinking Mike is running a little lean......how is Saphire doing?  What weight is she running right now...I know that Mike should be heavier than her,  but both Dan and I are a little concerned about his weight.  He has been taken out snowshoeing almost every day and always seems to scarf up a few deer cookies if you know what I meanl And, the last couple of nights he has been waking up vomiting...not like him at all.  He must be about 90 lbs right now.  I have to go out of town, but maybe Dan should bring a stool specimen in.  I worry about tapeworms or whatever.  He has been very active and happy though. Let me know how Saphire is doing, K?  That would be about the best comprison we can get right now.  Thanks, mary

One thing that really worked for Mike.....and this is depending where you live and what time of year this is, but we put a fan on aimed at the kennel.  For some reason he like the cool breeze and actually would sleep longer an more peacefully and it helped to mask out the noises that he would make and therefore I would sleep easier, too.  We actually had one of those expensive tent kennels, but he did far better in a big cage kennel.  To this day he doesn't like to be hot and sleeps during the day on the cold floors not the carpeting.
