Meet & Greet BPOers / Re: So. Cal November playdate
« on: November 10, 2005, 04:46:21 pm »
I just read all the updates on the playdate.  I went to the link Mari posted and noticed that on the 19th from 9am-1pm there is a Holiday Pet Fair.  http://www.dogparks.org/Pet%20Fair/PetFair.html

I'm not sure how large the park is, but it could get pretty crowded with the event going on.

What do you think?

I don't mind where we have it, I just want them all to get together again :)
I'll also throw in a vote for either the Santa Barbara dog beach or dog park.  Would be fun to try different places each time we get together.

Treatment & Preventative Meds / Re: Pet Insurance

Adorable pup! Welcome!
I have a 10 month old newfoundland and I am using PetCare insurance. http://www.petcareinsurance.com/

I did quite a bit of research and decided that they had the best coverage for what I was looking for.  This insurance doesn't cover routine vaccinations and things like that, but does cover accidents and health issues.  I have only submitted one claim so far which was for a hot spot Bailey had that got pretty bad.  Within a week of submitting the claim, my check was sent to me and covered nearly the entire visit and medication.  This is my only experience so far, but in speaking to others who have the same coverage they have had excellent experiences with the company.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

I always feel the same with Bailey.  Everyone always says how big he's getting but I don't realize until I look back at photos.

Please post more Angus photos, what a cutie!!!

Hey there,
Thanks for the bday wishes everyone!
Having some friends over tonight so need to rush home from work and clean the place :(

Sunday we're playing with Sasha and Jessica so that will be a great birthday treat for me (and Bailey)!  Although, as I told Jessica we will have to cancel the play date if my husband decides to whisk me away to Paris :)

Welcome Brindle Pack.
Sorry you couldn't make the last meet and greet, hopefully we can meet you and your pack in November!
The 19th works for us, count us in :)

I thought you might like that one!  I loved it too!
As far as doing it again soon, Bailey and I are ready!  Maybe in November?

Here is one with just the sign :)
It not only looks good but it is sturdy too, held up to 100lb dogs trampling it a few times!

(edited because I hit post to soon)

Consider yourself lucky. :) My older dog goes crazy when he sees vacuums, brooms, lawnmowers, anything like that...he lunges for them and bites at them.  Imagine trying to vacuum while a dog is biting at the front of it....needless to say anytime it's cleaning time at my house both dogs get put away.  All I need is for him to teach Baiely this wonderful 'trick'.

« on: September 26, 2005, 12:16:09 am »
I'm definitely in favor of a seasonal event.  Bailey had such a great time and it was wonderful to meet all the other dogs and BPOers.
I have some pics to post, just need to resize them first but I'll get them up soon.

so when's the next gathering? ;)

Whohoo Chester!!
Bailey just lifted his leg for the first time about a week ago.
Interestingly enough, Sasha was there...I think both Bailey and Chester learned it from her!  Thanks Sasha ;)
