Great pictures!
The legs shot is my favorite.
They look like they are saying, "My legs are longer."     "no way...MINE are longer."

What cuties they are!!

THAT IS AWESOME!!!
Thanks for the smiles.  What a neat trick!

I wish Madison could do something like that... or better yet... pick up her own poo in the yard!

Be careful what you wish for.   Jilly used to clean up her own poo....and Jack's.....and from the litterbox.    We used to refer to is as the  "Butt-fet".     No one ever wanted a kiss from her.   Ewwww!

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Re: Some people are so rude
« on: August 28, 2005, 09:45:50 pm »
Now when some one asks I tell them he's a rare Lochbuie Lurcher imported from England, very expensive. Cracks me up when the know-it-alls are so impressed.... "Oh, yes, very fine example of the breed"...... LOL!!!

That's GREAT!!!
I have to wonder why some people show no hesitation at expressing their own opinions but are so closed minded to hearing someone elses.....espe cially when it's factual!
I've had people come up to me and make proclamations as to Daisy's breed.  I calmly explain that she's a Neapolitan Mastiff.
I've heard:
"No, she can't be."
"That's not how they look.  They are light brown with a dark muzzle and not wrinkled."
I explain that they are thinking of an english mastiff. They do not want to hear that at all.
My favorite is when someone asks about HIS weight or HIS age or HIS name.
I used to explain....now I just make up boy names.....Spar tacus is the current favorite.

Treatment & Preventative Meds / Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Sponge
« on: August 27, 2005, 08:54:31 pm »
Just an FYI.......The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Sponge is not toxic if eaten but is an obstruction threat.
How do I know this?  Because I had to call proctor and gamble to ask.  Daisy decided to lift is off the counter and chew on it.
Advice was to watch her closely for the next 48 hours.
5 min after my phone call we found all the pieces that she had shredded....so luckily she didn't swallow any.

Crazy mutt.

She is SO CUTE!!!

I love the pic where the other two dogs are as far away as possible.
They look like they are worried that she will roll over and squish them.

Great looking bunch!

Introduce Yourself to the Forum / Re: Hello Dog People........

Wow!  What a friendly group!

The paw pic was created by my 15 yr old daughter.  That is her hand in the pic holding Daisy's paw.   Quite a contrast.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Introduce Yourself to the Forum / Hello Dog People........

:-\ .....er.....ma ybe I should have phrased that differently.
How about this:
Hello people who love dogs!!!
 :)

I'm new to this board and thought I'd throw out a hello.
We have 3 dogs in our family.
Jack - 6 yr old Shepherd/hound mix
Jill - 4 yr old rotti/shepherd/mastiff mix
Daisy - 7 month old Neapolitan Mastiff

All were adopted from the shelter. Yep...even the neo.
They are a huge part of our family.....lit erally and figuratively.
